I've spoken to many, many atheists and mocking and condescension has always been the order of the day. Nearly the only time that atheists don't act like that is when they are posting somewhere that has heavy moderation, such as this forum. If you want evidence of this nastiness towards Christians, I'll point you to any atheist forum on the internet.

I'm sure you can find nastiness, both ways. So what?

You said you've never seen any atheists talk like that. I'm telling you they talk like that all the time. Find any news article on religion on a liberal leaning website and you will find plenty of them in the comments section.

I prefaced it with two examples, "hating God" and "XTIANS R SO STOOOPID", however, I was thinking in the context of here (CF).

I have occasionally seen a few atheists, outside of here, say that. And I do apologize for them; it's in poor taste.

I think that the atheists are here for talk about Christ, (so obviously! hahaha). I think they want to understand our faith. It would be a lost time if they enter in a CF only for criticize the christians.
If we respect all of us, it will be a great dialogue. And, for the atheists, if you are opened for really think about Jesus you will know Him, and really understand our faith. You shouldn't racionalize Christianity cause it won't make any sense. Christianity don't have scientific explanation. I believe that for understand God we must be open our heart, for feel Him, not analize Him.
Honestly, I hope you will believe in God. When I let me know Him, He really changed my life. I think it's possible to happen to you.

Remember guys, God loves atheists as much as he loves us. If we ask them to understand our "faith" they'll never come to Him because there are so many beliefs in the Christian community. What we need to do is help them understand God, His love for them and what He has done for them through Jesus.

From my personal experience with atheists... They tend to be unsure about their religious views and they are essentially looking for somebody to say something to them that will spark that religious spark. We all have that thing within us that makes us desire to submit to God... And they are in a battle with themselves by denying the very existence of God.
