I notice that a large number of athiests like to hang out at Christian Forums. I was just wondering, what motivates you to hang out here?

I went for the cooky option. In reality I found this site by accident and thought it was interesting, especially the evolution/creation debate board so I decided to stay.

I voted "torturing Christians" (that´s what all atheists are here for, don´t believe them if they tell you otherwise) and "secretly want to be convinced...". Of course I secretly want to be convinced there is a God, but I would never admit it to anybody, and in a public place like this even less. To be more precise, I am even already convinced that God exists, but I am in denial and prefer to delude myself.

I am here in an attempt to help people foster a greater sense of understanding of the importance of skepticism and critical thought. Albeit many would probably label me a modern Nero Claudius Drusus Germanicus for having the audacity of "invading" such a forum, I would like to lead myself to believe that I tend to remain fairly neutral in my posting (jokes aside). Although I cannot speak for all non-theists on this forum, I am not seeking to "proselytize" (although atheism technically does not befit the verb), I merely wish to see that the diverese views we hold as humans are not misunderstood.

Voted cookies. Though entertainment value is part of it, just like putting up my thoughts and see if they stand up to a rigorous (or humorous) debate.

Upon reconsidering, I have come to the conclusion that persecuting Christians is my mission.

I didn't vote since none of the options worked for me (I'm here for pizza, not cookies) but thought I'd say that I came here for the Creation and Evolution debate and found a work-safe site where I could discuss things with interesting people from around the world.

A secondary reason is that I work nights and all the Antepododeans, Europeans and night owls help keep me mentally stimulated and awake.
