• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

When an atheist dies and finds out that what they had chosen to reject (the AKJV of the Bible) is true and it's starting to get rather hot...who are they going to blame?

What purpose would blame serve at that point?

I would waste no effort in blaming myself, since I arrived at my beliefs with integrity.

How is it possible to "choose" to "reject" what I know to be a superstitious fairy tale?
Why do you choose to believe superstitious nonsense?

If evidence of God is supposed to be revealed through his creation, yet examination of this creation reveals nothing about God, who would you say is to blame?

Why does blame come into it at all? Not only is it pointless, but distracting and destructive.

The only thing worse than personal blaming, is a religion that capitalises on it. Thankfully, I believe that is a corruption of Christianity - and do wish we could be rid of the insecurities that keep us bogged in this guilt. Oh, to see everyone embrace the God-given life in every human. Enough playing games of "I'm in, you're out".

Ooh, ok, thank you. Is there an unauthorized version, then?

There are some fringe groups of fundamentalists that say that the onyl version of the Bible that is true is the King James Authorized Version coined in 1611. They say that all other versions are false and even some say, inspired by satan.

The majority of Christianity thinks this is nonsense though.
