I see you still have issues with understanding the difference between:

- "I don't believe X"
and
- "I believe X is false"
I think that is why I started this thread.

To demonstrate how atheist philosophers mock new atheists for defining "I don't believe X," as being synonymous with, "I beleive X is false." What the atheist philosophers are pointing out and I agree with them, is that it is an equivocation meant to shift the burden of proof away from someone making a knowledge claim.

I'm an atheist, and I don't use "I don't believe X" as a substitute for "I believe X is false".

Interesting opinion, but not based in fact in regards to myself or anyone I know.

Take a poll. Ask the atheists here if they equate "I don't believe x" and "I believe X is false", and whether they're avoiding a burden a proof.

I'd be interested in the results...

I think the problem is less atheists confusing the two and more believers wishing that when atheists said "I don't believe X" they actually said "I believe X is false".
