What I mean is for an atheist there is no will, no rationale thought; though you do have higher thought, and no real human dignity. That is what I mean...
I have to admit that this is news to me... Especially the bit about rational thought and dignity. Can you expand on that?

hmmm well case in point for an atheist we are just animals....
You mean clasification of humans as members of Kingdom Animalia? That is a scientific concept, and as such is not limited to atheists.

Probably in the same vein as evolution is 'just' a theory.

Hmmmm...what is it then? Last I checked it *is* just a theory. Or am not understanding your point here?

That being said I don't believe there is a specific atheist philosophy nor do I think they subscribe to such ( correct me if I'm wrong here folks ).

Perhaps a better discussion would be the differences in thought between the "strong" and the "weak" atheist. There is, however, scads of information on this out there less than 20 seconds away ( depending on how fast you type ;) ).

So what is it that you are really asking here Everlastingman?

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but deists believe that a higher power set the universe in motion and then let it run its course from there without any divine intervention. So if scientists agree that human beings are animals that evolved over time like every other animal, I'm not sure why a deist *wouldn't* agree with it. The idea of a loving deity who hand molds human beings and considers them something special doesn't sound like deism to me.
