CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So Indian hinduism. Was that also applied to kamasutra or is that a seperate flesh pleasing false god?
Love is the source of all goodness. Without love, regardless of how many versions are imagined to please ones wants, leading to confusion, apart from God, that idealogy fails. Love is essential. Without it, life does not exist. God is love. God is life.

Your suggesting that I "put words in your mouth", yet the fact is, a theory is a only a mere assumption, any human is capable of guessing. So I am not "putting words into your mouth", as you alone suggest, for that is what you have said, yourself. It has worked to escape some, like perhaps a race card. But since I have no interest in race or color of skin, a race card does not work with me.

What on earth are you talking about? You specifically said that I suggested something I didn't. More than once in the same post in fact. You said I called Christians liars. Which I didn't. That's the definition of putting words in someone's mouth. It's wrong, you know it. And now instead of owning up to it, you're trying to sidestep the issue, compounding the problem.
You're not showing traditional Christians traits at all...

Please don't disagree and make this too easy.
A liar is someone who intentionally tells a falsehood. People who are honestly mistaken about the truth are not liars. No one is saying that Christians as a whole are dishonest people who intend to spread false ideas.
As far as I can tell, no one posting in this thread is a liar.

I believe you. But what is the good? It's not God. It's a pattern of living that some call "flourishing".
Do you see why such statements as "good is good" don't really add anything to the discussion?

You are mistaken in believing that the Holy Bible has "the Truth" and that the Christian God exists.
My icon says "atheist", so you should be able to work that one out.

Mark I'm open to all ideas. I would need some thing more concrete then background noise tho. I'm sure if some one else was claiming background noise indicated God or intelligent design you would be on the same page as me
I would, but for different reasons.
I don't think that "background noise" is poor evidence. It is "concrete" evidence. However, I do think there is a need for additional evidence to really drive the point home. But such evidence would probably still have to do with what telescopes can detect.
