With all due respect, even with running into some very loving Christians, some of the most hateful people I've ran into ARE Christians.why aren't you emailing the band telling them that as an athiest you despise their message of hate and wish them to be more loving (like christians)

Gradyll, just to get another perspective on your posts, I showed this thread to my wife and one of her friends (both Christians).
They both commented that they can't believe a Christian would say the things you are. They said you were incredibly rude and insensitive.
I'm telling you this because I don't like seeing anyone being a jerk, and I'm hoping that this will make you think.

Only in the sense that HE is the ultimate SELF. An atheist is someone who doesn't believe in GOD. But GOD only reveals HIMSELF to those who believe in HIM.So how does that make him an Atheist?

Not that HE hasn't revealed HIMSELF to unbelieving atheist before. HE certainly revealed HIMSELF to C.S Lewis. Have you ever read "G.K. CHESTERTON'S: THE EVERLASTING MAN"?? If you haven't...i dare you to read it. It was the pivotal book which turned C.S. Lewis to CHRIST.

What you have faith in may indeed be fact.... however until you can prove it, it's an unjustified belief.

The consequences if there is a GOD don't alarm you?? Stepping into eternity when there is a very real possibility that there is a GOD{not from my point of view. I know there's a GOD}. And there is no way that you can be 100% certain that there isn't one,because you would have to know everything. I think it ironic you use a theist's quote to prove your point.
Our beliefs are justified because God personally testifes to us that we are His children. This is not something that you nor any other unbeliever is privy to.
