CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Only in the sense that HE is the ultimate SELF. An atheist is someone who doesn't believe in GOD. But GOD only reveals HIMSELF to those who believe in HIM.

Not that HE hasn't revealed HIMSELF to unbelieving atheist before. HE certainly revealed HIMSELF to C.S Lewis. Have you ever read "G.K. CHESTERTON'S: THE EVERLASTING MAN"?? If you haven't...i dare you to read it. It was the pivotal book which turned C.S. Lewis to CHRIST.

Just to clarify.... I asked for a definition of Atheism, and you responded with a bunch of Bible Quotes and book recommendations.
Can you please just simply answer a question without all the extra crap?
You stated in your line that an Atheist "is someone who does not believe in God."
Would it be acceptable to use that as your definition, or is there anything that you wish to change about that?

It's extra crap because it's irrelevant. If I'm wrong, please show how any of those things fit into a definition of atheism.... apart from the one sentence where you actually defined Atheism.
I'm simply making the statement because I'd like clear answers to the questions I'm asking. Having to weed out 90% of the response to find what your actual answer is, is a waste of time.
However, I do accept the definition you gave. Atheism is the lack of belief in Gods.
Why that is puzzling, is because you are asserting God is an Atheist.... For that to be possible, God would have to not believe in his own existence.
I'm wondering how on earth you justify that?

What you have faith in may indeed be fact.... however until you can prove it, it's an unjustified belief.

I think it ironic you use a theist's quote to prove your point.
Our beliefs are justified because God personally testifes to us that we are His children. This is not something that you nor any other unbeliever is privy to.

The consequences if there is a GOD don't alarm you?? Stepping into eternity when there is a very real possibility that there is a GOD{not from my point of view. I know there's a GOD}. And there is no way that you can be 100% certain that there isn't one,because you would have to know everything. Is like playing Russian Ru let with your soul.

From all evidence, Lincoln was not a religious man and certainly was not a Christian. At the absolute most he was a deist, or was otherwise "spiritual" in some way.
Can you give a transcript of his personal testimony to you, and why is God withholding that information from us then?

Many people have died,and been brought back to life. Who have testified that they have been to heaven,and many also who have been to hell. My grandmother died on the operating table when she had her breast removed,and said she came out of her body,and saw her self on the operating table,and then went through the tunnel towards that GREAT BRIGHT LIGHT,and two angels waved her back into her body.
