I thought, at this time in my life, I would have put together all I need to effectively share with my younger brothers/sisters bits of wisdom attained along life's highway. But sadly, I find my self learning more from them than I have to teach. But it's all good.
I am grateful for all I have learned and I am glad I am still able to learn.
There are many things a Christian can be called to do. But there are Pastors, and Preachers, and Teachers and Evangelist.
I am in awe of Pastor's. They have a job, I WISH I could do, but cannot. I always wanted to be a Preacher, but I have seen a multitude of Preachers and a Preacher I am not. Ahhh, but Teaching. I have some formal training there and two son's who are teachers, and I have a wealth of life experience. But, no, I am no teacher.
Evangelist! Hmmm. Of all the things that require no formal education at all, no "experience", no special training, no skills, this is it. A job that not only can anyone do, but in fact all Christians are called to do.
The truth is it is all I can do. It is all I really know anything about. So in the future when I post here I will limit my postings to mostly what I know best. Some of the other things I write about, like "The Overwhelming Importance of Love" and such are things directly or indirectly related to Evangelism, and I will continue to post some from time to time, and if it speaks to one person I have been blessed.
