I'm pretty new to photography, so does anyone have any advice for these pictures that I took over the weekend? I know the one of the bridge is a little bit fuzzy. For some reason I can't get it to upload here with the same quality as the original.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It is hard to take action shots, but I would suggest trying to frame it better if you can. I really like the bridge shot.

Sorry about the quote, it went wrong a bit
.I wouldn`t worry about the action shots, just about everyone finds them difficult, however there are several tips I can give, for birds get especially wildfoul get them just as they take off or land, they are usually slower than in "normal" flight. Also your camera (if it`s an SLR) should have some setting that enables continuous focusing on a moving subject, on Canon its called AI Servo, not sure what it is on any other make.

AlliL: The bridge is awesome! The only thing I would've done different is make your corners equal with the diagonal tip to tip of the bridge. I think that may have placed a larger classic c-curve of the bridge in the image. I don't even know if it would've allowed for more c-curve coverage though. Regardless it's a great picture.
