At last.

So, 2 months and a bit ago she went. She comes back to see the kids and share her ongoing life story, simultaneously killing that husband part of me and freeing the friend.

So, I just got back from the Courthouse, handed in the divorce papers, filed under adultery with her bloke (ex-ish) named and with child custody agreement for me to have full custody and her to have full (acc. to clause) access.

I am now legally separated. In 6 months I will be legally divorced.

It's a situation I never ever thought I'd be in. After all I am monogamous and honourable an have carried a wife and 4 kids for nearly 10 years. But now I stand, with concience clear, knowing that I have come this far due to her decisions and the consequences remain hers.

Now, where's TryinToBe, it's time for a beer, girl.

I'm on the Celebration wagon with you. I still have to get mine filed and I have the strangest feeling that my husband is going to contest the divorce even though we don't speak or even live in the same conutry anymore. So Congrats Flan! You give me something to strive for. You definately took the high road and I admire your strength with your wife and kids.

Don't get me wrong, I'm congratulating Flan on completing the necessary steps and holding himself together while doing so. It's very stressful and emotional to go through this process and I'm happy that Flan has made it through to the other side. I'm not congratulating the breakdown of his marriage because that's very sad. I just know Flan is holding down the kids and himself through a tough time and now it's over with.

If I could give the bro a hug or something that might express more the bittersweet sadness and affirmation, that's all I meant.

Thank you Joi, you have been solid throughout this awful trauma I have had to face, carrying the kids, myself and my wife to some extent. So now I can face new directions free of fear of recrimination or financial complications.

BrotherOfAnother, I appreciate the heads up, but tread lightly around my girl. Cos she vicious! Go girl.

I'm not vicious... just want you to know how much I admire how strong you are through the hurt you have experienced. You're a strong man, a gracious human, and a loving father.
