AT LAST, someone ELSE on here who actually KNOWS something. Besides me and about 3 others I mean.

I get confused by astral projection, obe's, and lucid dreaming. All I know is that if I am conscious of my physical body, while I am experiancing these visions and the such, it's almost like a revelation. Because I know that my true body is sleeping, and wherever I am, I am safe. It's very hard to put into words. I have battled evil entities, and everything else that you can imagine. But NEVER, was I brainwashed with some kind of "doctrine" and NEVER did evil entities(which may or existed or even been created by my psyche,or some aspect of myself that needed destroying) or spirits or whatever, inhabit my physical body while I was away. Anyone that says this, is ignorant. Our physical body is nothing but a vessel so that our conscious-self can interact on the physical plane. Our conscious-self does not even exist on this physical plane. YOU, ME, EVERYONE is not even here, on the physical plane. We are just "jacked-in" to our physical vessel playing this game called life. The human brain is wired in such a way, that is creates a connection that tears a hole in the fabric of space and time, to connect to us. The only thing that is truly real, is the REAL you, me, and everyone else, and the creator. The human brain contains the most dense concentration of elements than anywhere in the entire universe.

Furthermoer there is nothing sinfull about this. I did not chant, or perform a ritual, or worship an idol, or slay a goat, or anything. It is a natural occurance that some experiance to explore other unknown and unseen aspects of God's creation. It is a gift, there is nothing you can do, to "induce" this. No external stimulus will induce this. You are not able to do this because "evil spirits" have inhabited your body and allow you to do this. It is all a lie created out of fear and ingorance. It is a god-given gift, and your right as his child. You all shall see, in the near coming years, certain "people" are going to emerge, and their goal will be to help, and to prove what we are, consciousness, pure consciousness, incoruptible. We are not are bodys, we are joined with them to interact on this physical plane. When these people stand, it's going to be in a time of great peril, it's referred to as the "awakening". I am sure when it happens, there will be preachers and all kinds of people saying these people are evil, satan incarnate, all because of their ignorance that is used against them. Mind you, Christ was treated the same way, and accused of the same thing by the pharisee's and sadductee's. I could say more, but the more I say, the more sorrow it gives me knowing that there are only a few, that can even perceive where I am coming from. The one's that cannot, will shun me, for no reason than to simply justify their ignorance. Enough about this though, cheers.

In Christ,

FOR ZION

I have done this accidentaly and I remember seeing very evil things. Well when I cam back, I was paralyzed and then finally I was able to get into my body completely. It was scary, when I woke up to see what time it was it was 300 AM which is the witching hour..how weird is that....so don't do it. it's not in God's will. I was christian at the time, yes still christian, I don't even know how it happened but don't ever do it!

Eternal-

I agree. It may seem "unsinful" on the outside, but we need to keep in mind the true definition of sin. It is an English word associated with archery that is used to define the distance between the bullseye and where the arrow lands. Quite simply, it means "to miss the mark". The bullseye represents God's perfect will.

Just because something doesn't seem evil or maliscious in any way doesn't mean it's not sin.

In addition, the definition of "witchcraft" is control. Astral projection is controlling one's spirit by the person's soul, which is sometimes aided by a demonic spirit. God never intended our flesh and our soul to control our spirit. It's suppose to be the other way around. This is why God says to walk in the Spirit. This is why God gave us a new spirit and an earnest deposit of His Spirit when we became born-again. Before the fall, Adam's existence was led by and through his spirit. When he sin, his flesh took over and he went and got fig leaves to cover it up.

Romans 8:14- "For as many as areled by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."

Izarya-

I've had a few "minor" OBE's in my time that just happened while I was asleep. I'm talking about people purposely meditating and seeking to leave their bodies to do things they shouldn't be doing.

Further, unless you've given yourself entirely to the Lord (Jesus) and are baptised and born-again in the Spirit, you won't comprehend fully the things of God.

John 3:[5] Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man bebornof water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

(This doesn't apply to just going to heaven, but also receiving of God and entering into his kingdom authority).

John 10:27- "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:"

John 6:63- "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: thewords that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

You can't understand the things of the spirit with your own mind. The things of the spirit are not governed by what we perceive as logical or understood in terms of psychology.

1Corinthians 1:[27] But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

Oh, well then there you go; that must be it. I'm not baptised and born again in the spirit. I'm a fake Christian.

What makes you think that it is I who do not understand the things of God? I believe God (Christ) created all things, whether they be in heaven or earth, visible or invisible; whether they be thrones, or dominions or principalities or powers.

Judging from your quote:

I've had a few "minor" OBE's in my time that just happened while I was asleep. I'm talking about people purposely meditating and seeking to leave their bodies to do things they shouldn't be doing.

I would say that you are speaking mostly from a traditional standpoint that is based on mis- or partial information and speculation. How do you know that people "seek to leave their bodies to do things they shouldn't be doing?" And is this the case for ALL who purposely seek to understand the mysteries of the soul? I think not, I think this is a just another classic example of the demonization of things that are not understood...

The practice of astral projection, especially by those practicing witchcraft (control), is beyond a doubt.

Seeking to understand the mysteries of the soul is not accomplished by manipulating the spirit outside of the body. As I mentioned before, the Lord commands us to be led by the Spirit, not have our souls control and manipulate our spirit. Like our flesh, the soul is corrupt and evil. This is what got Adam and Eve in trouble with God to begin with. They wanted to be in control and make decisions for themselves. They wanted to be gods.

Romans 12:[2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Also, I wouldn't deem astral projection as demonic, necessarily. I believe the "self" (our own egos) is our greatest enemy, and that is where Satan has us beat, unless we surrender our minds (soul) to God.

not necessarily true just because you have not experienced it. I know that I would never do this being the christian that I am.

It's an interesting phenomenon, especially for those of us whom it just seems to happen from time to time without any apparent reason or purpose. I don't know the answer to this. :confused:I haven't had one in a long while. Although I must say that when it did, it mostly occured in 3 places- in my parent's house sleeping in my own bed, my parent's bed where I've fallen asleep a few times, and my dad's former office building where there was a lot of negative spiritual activity. I used to study for my college exams there and conk out on the carpeted floor to nap. There was nothing unusual about my parent's place, though. The house is clean of any idols, except for the occassional "uninvited guests" that just came waltzing through the walls, if you know what I mean. My entire family are born-again Christians and are involved with the ministry in some capacity.

So Eternal, I wouldnt' be too concerned about it, unless it happens frequently. If it bothers you, you can command whatever spirit you think might be causing it, ask the Lord to secure your spirit, commission his angels to watch over you as you sleep, etc.

My first astral projection experience was not done intentionally, I had never even heard of the practice.

Did I sin? No. Was this satanic? YES!

Astral projection is an occultic practice put into nice shoes to make it look all innocent. There is no way to get into the practice without bumping into false doctrines from the New Age.

When attempting to astral project, it´s like sending out an invitation ´would you please share false doctrines with me?´.
Demons can appear to us as angels of light, they will secretly introduce false doctrines that sway us from the Word of God. They will sway and seduce you into thinking that there is nothing wrong with astral projection and that it is a God given ability. It is far from that.
If Jesus astral projected, it would get mentioned. Why are we to leave the temple that God has given us, filled with the Holy Spirit, to enter a world where demons and the ´dead´ wander about? There is no reason.
Our eyes are to be fixed on Jesus and the Truth, we are not to have fellowship with darkness. So we are not to enter a world where demons wander about without shame, and will obviously try to sway you!
We have the Spirit of Christ within us, why would be leave our bodies and leave the Spirit of Christ?
There is no Truth in the astral world, it is deception to it´s fullest, and there are no angels or dead spirits wandering about. Only demons.

When I was delivered from the practice I was tormented spiritually for aproximatly a year. There were demons that were latched onto me, and I needed to get delivered. There was no one there who realized what I had gotten into, so as a baby christian I had to figure out how deliverance worked. I was scared to go to sleep at night for fear of what would happen. I realize fully now that astral projection is deceptive, it is not a practice that God commanded us to get into, and it is not done by the Holy Spirit.

We are to be One with Jesus, and by doing that we are to walk with Him every minute we live. We are not to part from His Spirit by going off on an astral adventure to visit spiritual safehaven cities or talk with ´higher beings´ or ´spirit guides´. We are to fellowship with Him. We are to meditate on His Word day and night. We are to be Light, and not darkness, and we are to avoid evil.
We are to avoid false doctrines and those who teach it.

Why play with fire... when the real experience is walking with Jesus 24-7?

I am glad that God delivered you from this. But please, whoever you are, "Do not get involved in this?" I know there have been people on my forum reading about this and that is when she started getting sleep paralysis and astral projection. She was getting to involved. It's okay to know about the tactics the enemy uses but be led by the holy spirit, not your own selfish interests.

Anything that we do that is before God and goes against his word is a form of idol. In a way we are worshipping those things because we choose them over God when we do them. Observing the stars in the sky is not what I speak of. There is nothing wrong with getting a telescope and looking at the stars. What I'm talking about is astrology and fortune telling. This is more than simply just looking at God's beautiful creation. I'm going to look at these things from the perspective of the word of God. And I see that we wont agree on this.

But I do write these things for curious christians who might be browsing this thread and may be thinking about doing these things. I feel that God wants us to tell the truth on these things and that is what some of us are doing. The truth being that for those who are christians, these new age and occult things are against God. Its written in the word. I did not make up these rules, but God made these rules to protect us from the consequences of doing these things. In the end, I don't feel guilty in my responses to this thread.

For those who have spoken the truth about these deceptions, it is out of our hands if someone read the many warnings in this thread and still choose to get involve in these demonic things. God will not hold us guilty because we have spoken the truth. As christians its not about intellectuals or man's philosophies, its about God and what he says, not what man says. I'm trying not to deceive others and just going by what God says. I went to college and did the whole man's search for the greater truth type of stuff, but all this means absolutely nothing before God. You can't go wrong if you stick with God's words.:)

I would never, ever think about doing any such thing involved with the occult. I just like to keep abreast of what is going on in the world and the tactics used by the enemy so I won't be duped.

Back when I was in the occult I did "Astral traveling" which is traveling of the soul in the paranormal. I certainly don't any more.

Watchman Nee wrote a book called "The Latent Power of The soul." He believes Adam & Eve had enormous powers like Jesus has in His glorified body. But when they sinned, they lost these powers. That's why everything became a struggle for them. Satan is trying to release these latent soulish powers contrary to God's will. You see, as Christians we are to do nothing without God's guidance and Holy Spirit's power -- not our own.

A woman came from Scotland to get rid of two voices in her head. She was filing in the office when she turned, struck her head on an open file cabinet drawer and was knocked out. She suddenly had an overhead view of everyone running around the office and a view of what was happening in adjoining offices. These views were accurate. There were two beings that joined her. Suddenly her soul went back into her body -- along with these two beings.

When we heard this we immediately drove these two demons out of her in the authority of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. No more voices. She flew back to Scotland.

One of Satan's forces' favorite tricks is to get people to lower their natural barrier of integrity so they can get one of their number into the person. They teach mind-blanking meditation, mind-numbing repetition, mind-altering drugs, mind-opening emotions such as shock, blind panic or blind rage, sex with someone who is compromised, hands laid on by someone who is compromised and finally being knocked unconscious.

The demons will assist humans who want to travel in the paranormal. All these people have to do is suppress their natural barrier of integrity and invite them in. Off they go!

God won't assist a human to travel in this way. He has already offered us prophecy, Word of Knowledge, Word of Wisdom and the combo gift of tongues & interpretation. "Ask and it shall be given you..." "If any of you lack [the Word of] Wisdom let him ask of God and it will be given him."

For those who find themselves with "gifts" from childhood, these are not from God. God only gives His gifts to the person who receives Jesus and receives the Holy Spirit. Those childhood "gifts" are probably from ancestral demonic infestation by opening themselves to demons.

There was a Baptist Sunday School teacher named Edgar Cayce. He was a faithful Christian. His son was burned in the eyes. He was in a blind panic. Suddenly he passed out. A voice came from him telling them to apply tea to the son's eyes. They did it and the boy was healed.

First, Edgar's parents had been heavily into the occult. Second, he was in a blind panic. In came a spirit of divination.

Edgar Cayce went into trances and gave hundreds of "readings" to people for healing. After the bait was taken, the demon started teaching doctrines of demons. A lot of people have swallowed these destructive doctrines.

In the meantime he was faithfully going to church and teaching Sunday School. It bothered him that he was doing something so strange as going into a trance and giving readings. He had no sense of divine guidance. Finally, he resolved that God was good and this was doing good, so it must be God. WRONG!

If you have doubts, pray to God, "Heavenly Father, if this gift is of You, thank you for it. But if it is not of you, please take it away."

For more information about the occult (including astral traveling) see the book, "Occult ABC: Exposing Occult Practices and Ideologies" by Rev. Dr. Kurt Koch. His other books are well done also.

I have astral projected, unintentionally the first time, but then read up on it and gained control of it through meditation, dream journals, relaxation techniques, reality checks etc. This lead to lucid dreams. I usually reach the vibrational stage of the shift, before I get scared and either jolt awake or become paralyzed with the old had presence around me.

Experiencing astral projection is what made me read The Bible in the first place. It's not something made-up or new... it's the natural process of the soul leaving the body. While sleeping, the conscious mind is gradually absorbed into the subconscious, where the astral body is, and the subconscious becomes operative. One of the ways the subconscious expresses itself is in dreams or lucid dreams.

Yes, the supernatural does put a ding in Secular Humanism. My contact with the supernatural was with fulfilled prophecies in the Bible. That drew me to the Bible as well.
