This does not fit into any category here, I try to put it in a place where the mis-fit is minimal.

I watched the inauguration today, and there was a prayer from the pastor of Kamala Harris. It ended with the word "... in the mighty name of our common faith. Amen."

Now I'm familiar with the American (generally English?) habit of ending a prayer with "... in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.", often with some embellishment like "our mighty Lord" or so.

But replacing Jesus by faith? Did he want to include non-Christians (do we have a common faith with them?)? I'm rather confused.

PS: I learned about "English language prayer" long ago, in Korea: I tried to pray in the midst of my prayer something like "... and in the name of Your son Jesus I pray: ..." and was interrupted by a Chorus from the whole prayer group :amen: which finished my prayer.:D

That's the nature of the Apostate church that leads to the harlot of babylon.

Religions coexist, of course. And we Christians should live peaceful coexistence, up the point of "love your enemies".

I have no problems with that, of course. My problem is an attitude that says "Maybe you are right" (relativism) instead of 'You are wrong, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" (tolerance).

Relativism is, in essence, an opinion, tolerance is an attitude, or moral value. But often relativism is called "tolerance". As said above, we Christians should be tolerant, that is a commandment from Jesus, but we should not deny that He is the only way to God.

Does Kamala even claim to be Christian? I don't recall her ever saying such.
Wikipedia says:
Harris is a multiracial American[322] and a Baptist, holding membership of the Third Baptist Church of San Francisco, a congregation of the American Baptist Churches USA.[323]

In the German Wiki, there is also a reference to an (English) article which states:To be sure, Biden and Harris identify as Christian — he a Catholic, she a Black Baptist. I understand that "Baptist" implies "Christian". But what kind of Christianity is practiced in that congregation? And how much is she influenced by a mixed (syncretic?) home she grew up in?

Our faith is just our faith, a gift of the Holy Spirit...it doesn't have a name in which we pray. There is ONE name that is above every other name on heaven or on earth. Even politicians used to know this.
