see, when I look at the people listening to the Benny Hinns of this world, I don't see sola scripturists. I see people who are desperate for someone to do the thinking for them. People who don't try at all to see for themselves what scripture states on matter. (or, people who find their favorite verses, and exclude the rest.) Perhaps you could call them Sola Televangelista.

A sola scripturist would take the claims of a Benny Hinn, and measure it against what we find in scripture. Anyone who is genuinely seeking truth would find out he's full to the brim of bovine fertilizer without much effort.

The office of Pope isn't "bad" it's the claim that it has ultimate authority. That is what is argued! (at least, that's what SHOULD be... I know things go to far) For instance, PJP was a good man, from everything that I've seen.
