Asking more prayers…

My mother had a breathing emergency when she was in the doctor’s office. I had to take her into the walk-in connected with the hospital today because it’s Sunday. She almost stopped breathing in the office today. She caught a virus and she has pre-existing conditions. Thanks be to God that it happened there. I really thought she was going to die before my eyes. I ran out and said there was an emergency and they rushed in to help. After she was stabilized we had to go to the hospital for x-rays and lab work. We got the x-rays but we will have to get the labs tomorrow as they were overwhelmed with a 5 car pile up. It was terrifying and we are all exhausted. Prayers appreciated.

She is still struggling but they ruled out pneumonia. Had lab work done yesterday. The chest x-rays showed the hiatal hernia was pressing against her lungs but there is not much more they can do about that. So far it looks like a viral thing she caught and it exacerbated her COPD. She has a Nebulizer now and I give her breathing treatments every six hours. Still waiting for other results but in the meantime she is on some super strong antibiotics and steroids. She keeps saying she does not feel like she’ll be here much longer. She had an experience I plan on starting a thread about.
