What do you do for a living? (I know you're a nurse. But, having an aunt that is a nurse, I know there are many different kinds)

I have been blessed with a good church that has exceeding good Sunday School teachers that really open up the Word of God. When I'm home I have e-sword and a couple of books when I read my chain referenced Bible in the morning. I love my concordance, my dictionary and book of maps. And, when I can remember the reference, I try to let the Bible interpret the Bible. But I'm not as good as I'd like to be at remembering.JWA said:What has helped you the most in your quest to study and understand the bible? I mean are there any particular tools or methods that you feel have been helpful?![]()

I used to bring home books from the library "When I Grow Up I Want to Be ..." Nurse, Police Officer, Lawyer ... I settled on nursing when I found out that accountants didn't get paid very well until they had an MBA. I need a career that would support my son (I had him at a very young age) So, here I stand, a nurse.BuddingThorn said:It's funny you should say that. When I first started reading the Bible through in a year, Leviticus and Numbers were the two books I struggled to get through too. Now a days I just blow through them. But, they are pretty dry, aren't they?![]()
When you were little, what did you dream of being when you grew up?

Looking ahead - what's something new and different you'd like to accomplish in the next 5 years?

go camping here and there. Only, this summer I'm not working. at least I don't think so, so I'll have more time to go on day trips to the beach.![]()
I live in a very pretty State that has lots of campgrounds for weekend camping. Also, I am 75% disabled and can only work PT or Per Diem.edb19 said:If you don't mind my asking - I know you're a nurse (at least I assume so from your avatar) - how do you get the summer off? Nurses are always busy.
