CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

whenever i get in situations where my flesh gets in the way and i walk out of step with the Spirit, God whispers to me, "You're dead, Cofer". i asked God to tell me that whenever i let my carnal appetites and earthly desires override the will of the Holy Spirit. He's been faithful to do that. lol
the Lord and I added another to our communication today. sometimes I have a habit of asking God questions that are too big for me. just like the scripture says that it's the glory of kings to search out a matter but it's of the Lord to conceal. So what we came up with was I call the, "Savior's Sovereign Scrambling Act". It's loosely based on on Isaiah where God talks about His ways and thoughts are so much higher than ours. So now whenever I start rattling off questions to Him and it's above me and He wishes not to give me an answer, He has started to tell me "Scrambling Act" to let me He's God and I'm not.

This is a tough question that has no easy answer. I've come this far with it. So I might as well keep it. Plus, it wouldn't serve me well to change my handle to my real name because then it would make it easier for people to find me on the internet. We don't want that.
