CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Anywhere specific? I'd like to go there as well. I'd like to see the rolling green hills of the country side. Where I live it is FLAT FLAT FLAT and brown.

I have penpals as a hobby, and mostly all of them are from England. So I would like to go see my favourite one who lives in Nottingham. I also collect used stamps for various animal charities including a horse and donkey rescue, and would like to visit it.

Are these penpals that you write to, or exchange emails with? How do you removed the used stamps from the envelopes?

The charities which collect them prefer if you just cut them off envelopes and leave a bit of an edge. They sell them to collectors who do the rest of the work. I write letters by hand.

Hand writing seems to be a lost art. We no longer teach it in Texas public schools, and the students have horrid, horrid print.

I do send postcards sometime, like I went to Florida on vacation. I have neat printing. Not sure how many I have because some only write a few times a year, or disappear, but probably 20 good ones.

Yeah, sometimes people just collect penpals and don't really care about who they write to, but then there are ones I liked, or I don't know if I said something wrong, or if they moved, etc.

Modern abreviated text answers. Ha. For the longest time I never used a text message because I had to properly spell and punctuate what I sending to someone. With fancy phones and keyboards, it doesn't take that long to happen.

Well since this is my thread and I was asked how I am, I just got back from visiting my grandfather in the hospital. He's had prostate cancer and has been admitted, and it isn't good.

100 days of short devotionals concentrating on looking to JESUS.. much like when Peter looked to JESUS when he got out of the boat he could walk on water.. inspirational readings.. they encourage me every single day I read them.. kinda pin point on one thing about JESUS and its enough.. encourages you to meditate on it through that day..
Any one else care to share or else you Mr Runningfish lol if you read something daily that helps you through the day??
