  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I like your second stipulation. Who had the most influence on you while growing up?

Both my parents. My first inclination was to say "my father" but upon further thought, my mother also played a very significant role.

1. Who are your top 3 heroes/role models?

2. Favorite armagedon theory?

3. Favorite question you like to be asked?

Wow! You ask tough questions!

1. Can I say God? :p I don't know that I really have heroes/ role models. There are a great many people who have qualities that I think are admirable. Of course I can say Jesus, and also Samson, Khadijah, Ruth, etc.

2. I dunno. I don't get into them much. :sorry:

3. Hmmmmmmm. I don't know. I can't think of any question that I absolutely like to be asked. :D questions are fine, but there is nothing inside that I sit and think "ask me this, ask me this". Are you trying to solicit questions to ask me? :) Ask me anything! :p

do you have any tattoos?

None at all, but I will tell a secret.... I once took a wire and ink and made a dot inside my hip bone. It has never disappeared in all these 15(?) years since I did it. I only did it out of curiosity to see if it really worked as people claimed. ^_^

No.... I'm too old and curmudgeonly these days..... okay, maybe not curmudgeonly. I just wanted to use that word. :p I honestly couldn't see myself getting a tattoo. I don't see any purpose or use for it. I am not anti-tattoo and I certainly think some are beautiful. They are just really not for me. Something temporary and washable is more my style. :)

Top 5 favorite Christian bands?

Top 5 Favorite books?

What do you feal is the worst mistake you have made in your life? (youd ont have to answer this one...)

Hmmmm...... top 5 favorite Christian bands.....

Can I include Lifehouse even though they aren't technically Christian? Maybe also: Flyleaf, Seventh Day Slumber, Third Day, Kutless.... I enjoy individual songs more than I do bands, so picking a band is difficult.

I don't know that I have a top five fav. books. I listed some books and authors earlier in this thread.

The worst mistakes I made in my life were made in complete naivete. I realize this answer is non-specific.

You are stranded in a deserted island, what do you take with you?

Now you find out it's inhabited by alligators, but you can only exchange one thing you brought, what would it be?

Upon exploring said island, you discover a huge crate of cotton balls and another one filled with golf clubs. What do you use these items for?

What do you enjoy most about life?

Very tough question..... my first thought was "my children." I do enjoy them very much, but they are only one part of life. There is so much in life that I enjoy. I simply enjoy LIFE.

I enjoy all the little things in life. All the beauty in nature around me. Nature is one of my biggest joys.

Upon exploring said island, you discover a huge crate of cotton balls and another one filled with golf clubs. What do you use these items for?

To answer the first question..... I want these three things:

1) A good survival knife
2) A good survival kit
3) A heavy warm blanket

If alligators......... I'll trade my knife for a machete. ^_^ At least then I can stand farther away. I'm not keen on going head to head with an alligator using a survival knife. With a gun, the bullets only last so long, and I would never do well with a bow and arrow.

Cotton balls and golf clubs! I would practice my swing. ;) No, I'm joking........ okay, maybe part way. Practicing my swing would certainly kill time though. The golf clubs would come in handy for several things. They could be used for fishing poles, or rods to hold up a makeshift tent, or they would be nice to keep on hand for those alligators or other creatures. In Guam the golfers used to keep a golf club in hand for the boonie pigs, so I don't see why I couldn't keep it for the alligators. Golf clubs are metal, and the heads of some could be used for cooking things on (like a mini pan). They could be used for a walking stick. Maybe to help knock things out of trees. I could take one of the woods and possibly make a spear. (I am going to be thinking of this all night. LOL) Cotton balls....... would certainly be good in helping start fires! :) I would have to ration them. A case would not go very far. Maybe I could use the golf club to stuff them in the sleeping alligators ears and then they would not hear me coming. :sorry: Oh, no..... that was just silliness. I'm sure the cotton balls might be nice for a certain feminine need...... but I hate to say this, starting fires is more important. I'm sure cotton balls could be knits or crocheted into clothing, but again, fires are more important than clothes. And before anyone makes a comment about knitting and crochet..... I think a fishing hook would work quite well as a crochet hook, and those golf clubs could make nice knitting needles (albeit a bit heavy and long). ^_^ I hate to confess to this, but I would probably play a bit with the cotton balls. :p

I noticed from your profile that you have some sort of interest in psychology.

What is your response to Christians who say that psychology is inherently Godless and evil?

To be honest, I think Christian who say things like that do so out of ignorance. I have seen Christians and Christian authors who are completely dismissive of any form of mental illness. Again, I think it is ignorance on their part. I have seen Christians rail against Psychological research when it doesn't agree with them and accept it in the same breath when it suits them. I believe that is common to many people, though, not just Christians. Individuals seek out information that confirms their beliefs and ignore information that does not.

Or were you looking for me to write a paper/defense on the topic? :p

1. Favorite sub-terrestrial landscape?

2. favorite Canyon?

3. favorite Archaeplastida?

4. favorite Archosauromorpha?

1) I do like caves, but I dunno if I would say they are my favorite...... some are just beautiful inside. I once had a grand time going caving.

2) I don't know that I have a favorite canyon. When I drove through Utah, they have some pretty ones.

3) I don't have a favorite. ^_^ I can honestly say that I have never sat around and contemplated which I like better than another.

4) I don't think I have a favorite one of these either. :sorry:

I don't have favorites.
