We celebrate thanksgiving on Oct. 10, in canada, so our day has come and gone. My favorite way to spend the day is to have all our family get together for turkey dinner just enjoying each others company.....we have blank slips of paper and each person writes down what they are thankful for, then during dinner we read them....makes you relize just how lucky we are, and how much we have to be thankful for.

My apologies - I knew yours was past already, just forgot.

I like your idea about writing down what you're thankful for - that makes one think more rather than just saying the first thing that comes to mind.

Did you have a person in your life who you consider your Christian mentor? If so, how have they inspired you?

I have to say I didn't have a christian mentor in my life...wish I did.
I look to Jesus as my mentor.

If you could go back in time, what era would you go to and why?

I would pick the 60's the era of peace and love, life seemed simpler then. I love the clothes and hair styles...gogo boots and bee hives. I also would have loved to see Elvis in concert.

Since it is coming up soooo fast!! What are your plans for Christmas? Anything special?

Yep its just around the corner :o ....which remindes me I better get my rear in gear if I want to be organized. This year everyone is coming to my house,we haven't all been together for quit awhile, this will be the first Christmas without our dad.....wow, just saying that makes me tear up...anyway,I think we all just feel the need to be together, it will be fun, we're kind of a crazy bunch  We are going to invite my husbands side too...so it will be a full house. Guess I better get some baking done. We have been having such nice weather, unusual for this time of year...I do hate snow but I hope we have a white Christmas, it just wouldn't feel the same. What are your plans? do you stay home or go to your family's place?

Do you decorate your home for Christmas the day right after Thanksgiving?

Our thanksgiving is in october so that is a bit early, I usually start decorating the end of november. I started this weekend, seems a little odd since we have no snow left, not that I'm complaining:clap:

What is your favorite Holiday tradition and why?

Hi kelco  On christmas eve we like to go to the candle light service at church, to spend time with other believers and remind us of the reason for the season, its very beautiful with the candles burning and makes me feel grateful that our Heavenly father sent us His Son. Then we come home and sing carols, we open one present before bed, the kids made up that last one.:D
