CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

How did you become Christian? I grew up going to church, but Jesus was just a story to me. I never ever remember hearing about Jesus being the Savior-even at church! When I was 14 I went to a Christian play with a friend that plainly laid out the plan of salvation and I asked Jesus into my heart that night!
Like tomatoes? Even by themselves? Not always. I have to be in a tomato mood for tomatos.
What would you do if you had a tornado in your area? We have had several here. At my parents house we would go into the basement and wait it out. Luckly we never had any major damage. AT my house I don't have a basement, so I would probably go to my neighbors or if I didn't have time I would get in the downstairs bathtub/shower.

They are asked to move a card for misbehavior and each card means something: Green=good, yellow-you have been warned!stop now! Red-no recess that day Blue-silent lunch and no recess, Orange= no recess, silent lunch, their parents are called and they might be sent to the office depending on what happened. I don't feel bad if they truly deserved it and most of them do push the limits and see how far they can go. I only feel bad if I know they are going through something at home and i know that's why they are behaving that way- usually in that case I try to work with the parent to come up with ways to help their child not act out.
Do you believe in spanking your future kids? For everything- no. For some things - yes. It depends on what they did and the temperment of that particular child.
Think you might homeschool your future kids? It depends. I would like to be able to do it if needed and would do so willingly. I suppose it really depends on the area and school district i'm living in. I think I would like to in the early grades at least.
