I hate my job and i feel stuck there. I do want to go back to school but i'd have to work full time at the same time. Teaching consumes your life so, i don't know how i'd find time to actually pass classes.

My dad is having health problems and it concerns me very much.

And i'm still single, which i'm sure seems pathetic but i don't even know any guys worth dating so i feel stuck in that respect too.

Well i became a teacher b/c i wanted to help children. I think i'm very good at teaching and that God does use me in kid's lives. But, there is so much junk the state and parents and administration dishes out. It's very frustrating. The fact is sometimes you can't help every child. The fact is sometimes you do everything you can and no one cares and the child slips through the cracks even though you get in there and fight for them. Teachers can't do everything, but i feel that more and more they are expected to solve every problem. I'm frustrated. I want to go back to school to get into another career field.

I don't know. But there are lots of teachers that feel this way. Maybe the system of administrators and governors should consider the children first when they make stupid descions that hurt students rather than help them. Teachers have to do what they are told and when it doesn't work they get the blame from all sides. I think a major reform is needed in education. I think that parents need to be more involved and responsible in their child's education. There are many that are, but more and more parents either don't care at all, or they just accept whatever without realizing what it is. I can still help children even if i'm not a teacher.

The state that I live in offers tuition wavers for teachers. I plan on using these to go back to school to get my master's after I start teaching. Have you looked into that?

well i don't want a master's in education. I want a 2nd degree in an entirely different field.
