• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ask a silly question, get a silly answer.

Because St. Patrick didn't like chocolate.

What was St. Valentine's favorite food?
Probably chocolate, though I have to say it would be ironic if he actually hated the stuff.

What do you think the circumstances were, that brought on the discovery/invention of carbonation? (Wild answers are always appreciated. :p )

Societal rejection of low-carb diets (pre-Atkins) - coupled with a little common misunderstanding of the term "carbs." Ironically, it was the same yahoo who ate the first artichoke (pre-clarified butter and steam cookers). :D

Who was the first person to eat a brussel sprout?

They say anything tastes good when you're hungry, so I would assume it was a starving person who thought it was the best thing on earth. Human kind and holiday dinners have had to pay for that one person's misguided belief ever since. :|

What do you think dogs could possibly be saying to each other (in loud volumes that overcome obstacles such as windows and walls), at 3 am?

What would have happened if Dorothy never threw that bucket of water on the scarecrow, which in turn never hit the witch, and the witch never melted?

Then I guess we'd have a whole different story going on here.

Why don't you see many circus clowns driving down the street in trucks?

How is it that this little guy keeps going and going like he does? Shouldn't he be tired out by now?

He's trying to tighten his abs. and yes, he is tired, but the pain is worth it to him.

So, who thinks clowns are actualy funny anymore?

How about a pair of both? :)

Why is it that if you use a dry erase marker over a permanent marker's mark, then it will erase it?

I don't know. You tell me, and we'll both have the answer.

Why is it as earthlings we don't wear Earth shoes?
