What about weddings or funerals?
I also have attended those as well. I personally have no problem attending those, I just don't take communion. And Lutheran churches including the ELCA, I believe, don't offer communion at weddings, funerals, or confirmation.

The last ELCA funeral I went to didn’t offer communion, neither did any of the LCMS WEDDINGS I attended.

Confirmation without a Communion service? I haven't seen that even here in Southeast Ohio where many Lutheran churches still practice 1st Sunday monthly communion.
Maybe there was a communion service it’s been awhile. I didn’t partake. I know yhey don’t have them for weddings or funerals

I had an LCMS wedding and we did not have communion. I think, perhaps, the Gottesdienst crowd would welcome performing a funeral mass but most of the LCMS no.
You were married in the LCMS or you officiated a LCMS wedding?

In the Funeral Service in LSB, there is provision for the Sacrament provided. Still verry rare.
My new incoming Pastor is a liturgist so...all things are possible.

I've heard the arguements... That's too "catholic" (what does that even mean LOL???) and "but friends and other family won't be allowed to commune so it's not fair", while not having an issue themselves parking their butts during the distribution in a Catholic Church. People...

Does Gottesdienst have a goodly following in Canada? I don't know that I've ever met an American that affiliated with them. I'd like to. . .
Card Carrying Members; I have no idea, but there are those of us who are definitely inclined that way.

I would suggest this book for all who are inclined towards "higher" Liturgical practice. My Pastor told me that there is a long standing, tongue-in-cheek statement in the Seminaries that "regarding Liturgy, between Piepkorn and our Lord Jesus Christ, nothing is not known". The Conduct of the Service | EmmanuelPress.

The book is very reasonably priced at $25.00, but if you are in Canada, $50.00 us shipping hurts a bit. Once I got the book, the pain was short lived. LOL
