I downloaded the whole performance off some lip synch site and it was terrible. But, I've heard her sister do just as bad if not worse performing live.

I just wonder what kind of career Ashlee would have had if Jessica had landed a contract with a Christian label like she wanted in the first place.

Wow, I didn't know she tried to get signed with a Christian label... I knew she was Christian, but I never knew she actually wanted to get signed as a Christian singer. Very interesting...

Also, I agree with you about the singing live thing... who knows? Maybe she was just really, REALLY nervous. God knows I've heard some awesome singers mess up pretty badly even if they've sounded good in front of live audiences before

I watch that too :o lol... but on that show we find out that she didn't have premarital sex or anything like that... and there's a couple of other small hints too I know what you mean though from... er... most of the time

Well I have only seen it a few times. And yeah I already knew that she didnt have sex before she was married. Which I thought was a really great thing for her to come right out and admit to, and actually live up to it (unlike Britney who pulled the "Im a virgin thing"... and we all know how that turned out LOL)
Anyway even the few times her dad was on the show it surprised me that he was a Baptist Minister (I think?).... he didnt act like any preacher I know.
Anyways, I am just saying that on the show, she didnt really *seem* to act like a Christian.
But I dont know her heart, therefore I dont know at all

There's a show that's been on VH1 several times about how Jessica Simpson couldn't get signed to a Christian label because she looked too mature. They said she was like 14 at the time and she thought they were making fun of her for being too fat.
