There are 14 Anglican fellowships in my deanery and only two are doing ashes.

You know, there are a number of churches in my community that I have some connection with--friends, occasional visits, something or other. The point is that I think well of them even if they are not of my own persuasion. BUT while I don't think omitting to have an imposition of ashes is so awful, whether it's in an Anglican church or some other, none of these other churches even took note of it being Ash Wednesday. None had worship services that day or evening, and none made mention of the day on their calendars. Now THAT, to me, seems a shame.
