Was talking to my pastor this morning about that place. Some of his Pentecostal type Christian family members already went there to check it out. They felt the presence of The Holy Spirit there and that was it. I guess they are not used to Him showing up and residing there, and that makes sense being that it is a sort of Methodist type of church.prayerfully what God is doing continues to spread
interesting, it seems from the few testimonies I've seen from there that people who go to genuinely seek God find Him. Those who go to "investigate" or find fault, likely leave unimpressed and convinced of their own POV. I would have liked to have went myself, but Im a bit outside of driving distance. The livestream was powerful though, I had listened to it for a couple of hours the other day and felt really drawn to what was going on, for what thats worthWas talking to my pastor this morning about that place. They’re actually Wesleyan Holiness with a history of claiming revivals including the watershed 1970 one that sparked the Jesus Movement. Was talking to my pastor this morning about that place. Well,...... say your church has The Holy Spirit there strongly at every service and the gifts operate like clockwork, normally with 3 tongues messages and interpretations every single service...!interesting, it seems from the few testimonies I've seen from there that people who go to genuinely seek God find Him. Yea I couldn't remember what exact denomination they were, I thought Methodists. They’re actually Wesleyan Holiness with a history of claiming revivals including the watershed 1970 one that sparked the Jesus Movement.
The revival has been compared to similar revivals at Asbury, notably one that occurred in 1970, which had far-reaching consequences in Methodism, US culture, and in the growth of the Jesus movement….Asbury has a history of revivals, the school claiming them in 1905, 1908, 1921, 1950, 1958, 1970, 1992, and 2006.
thats fair and quite the experience I may add. Not in a negative way, I pray more gatherings would experience God as yours did.Well,...... say your church has The Holy Spirit there strongly at every service and the gifts operate like clockwork, normally with 3 tongues messages and interpretations every single service...!
Would an event like some sort of revival be all that impressive to you when you're able to experience not just His presence, but His operation of the gifts daily almost?
That's where our church was around 2010, and it lasted for roughly 3 years. Church seating was sometimes standing room only. There wasn't a worry about membership during that period, I can tell you that much.
It's always good when young folks experience GOD, but some people are way past the basics and want a much deeper experience and walk with Him.

I thought that was pretty good! I went ahead and subscribed to him on youtube.Ps. Rosebrough on what true revival is and what may or may not be going on at Asbury
(a lot of edifying comments as well):

I think he was very much spot on.
I don't know if i would follow a known cessationist to judge a move of the SpiritPs. Rosebrough on what true revival is and what may or may not be going on at Asbury
