As we stood outside and watched in amazement at the northern lights and wonderful conversation came to be.

My 3 year old daughter said "Mommy, are we going to heaven"? Now this came from out of the blue and it lead to a question and answer session.

I said to her, "Yes dear we are going to Heaven but I am not sure if it is right now".

"Mommy when we get to Heaven there will be no more boo boo's right"? I answered, "Yes dear no more boo boo's".

And Mommy when we get to heaven we will not cry any more"! "Yes sweetie that is right" I answered " there will be more tears in Heaven". Then the hard question came up,"Mommy, why is Jesus In heaven?......... "Well dear Jesus is in Heaven becasue that is his home and as we know Someday he is going to come down here and take us all to his home"

God says in the Bible there will be signs in the Sky and I am sure my three year old never read this in the Bible BUT somehow she knew.........she knew the sign was from Jesus , Letting us know he will be comming to get us and take us home soon.

That is really sweet and awesome.

My 3 year old pointed to an ambulance the other day, and clear and confidently stated, "God be with the hurt person in that ambulance."

I'm sure he's never heard anyone say anything like that. DH and I were just kind of dumbfounded and awestruck.

Kids are so amazing and God wants our kids, can we see why? I think I learn more from my own kids then they do from me. Kids are so great! That must be why I had 6 of them. LOL

Kids have some incredible thoughts!!!

A few months ago, I was driving home from my Fantasy Football draft with my 3-year old in the back seat. I was talking with him about Jesus and how He is always with us and how He will always take care of our needs. The little guy in the back was silent for a while, so I asked him what he was thinking about. He said, "Daddy, are you Jesus?"

It was tough driving the rest of the way home with the tears running down my face.

That is awesome!!!

I grew up praying before each meal, but it was the same prayer every night. We have tried to institute a "No Repeat" policy when we are praying for our meals to help keep the meaning of it fresh. My 2 and 3-year olds were sitting down for a snack last night before bed and the youngest began praying:

[DEEP VOICE]Thank you for our fruit bar, fruit bar, Jesus. Thank you for our fruit bar, fruit bar, Jesus. Amen![/DEEP VOICE]

It are times like this, when they decide to add a little annimation in to their prayers that I know they truly are children of God who have ben sent here to bless my life.

~God Bless~

Thanks to my girls (5 and 2), prayer before meals takes quite a while. My oldest, Emily, goes through her prayer ("God thank you for our family, God thank you for our food, Thank you for our movies and video games, God, thank you for our cats and dogs"....she says the same thing night after night :)) and she always amazes me with some of the final thoughts that she throws in out of nowhere..."Thank you for making our planet spin around so that we can all live here" or "Thank you for making stars so I can tell You all my wishes."

My little one, Eden, she tries to repeat everything that her sister just prayed, only in her sweet little baby talk version. We can make out a few words..."food" "movies" "games" "cats". And then really loud, "AAAY-MEN"!

And right then and there, I just have to stop and say a prayer of my own and thank God for my wonderful little angels. They are truly a gift from heaven.

love, Heather

We all hold hands and pray. My three year old twins know the prayer by heart and baby Mitchell sure does try to spit out a few words here and there.
Praying is very important to our children, they enjoy it very much and it unites as a family in prayer together.
What a blessing children are.
* I say this with a huge smile, our kids are to cool! *
