  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The cost of employer-sponsored family health insurance premiums jumped again this year, but the rate at which they rose slowed to historic lows, according to a new survey Tuesday.
For insured workers, the cost of buying health insurance for a family of four increased 4% to $15,745 in 2012, according to a survey conducted by Kaiser Family Foundation and the Health Research & Educational Trust.
Health insurance premiums climb 4% in 2012 - Sep. 11, 2012

Those are the stats: 4%.

I'm sorry that your company's stats are so different (it's always possible that they are increasing YOUR share and that the total pie has increased by a lower amount).

All of this underscores the need for really comprehensive health care reform. Yes, a baby step was the best we could do in 2009....we have more we need to do.

Mine's gone up 8.9%. Fortunately, my employer's contribution is going up 9.5%.

This is actually pretty much how it works year over year, except a couple of years ago when it went down slightly (I was shocked, shocked, I tell you!).
