  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

needs our prayers!!!

She's in boot camp and has managed to get bronchitis that has turned to pneumonia.
She's also struggling with a knee injury...so lets lift up this brave young woman in prayer :prayer:

She needs our encouragement :)

Shalom :)
Prayed for, will keep doing so.

She's doing like the rest of us who honor the uniforms we have worn or continue to wear. She's guttin' it out, pushing through and relying on G-d.

She's not complained about her treatment and is receiving good medical care.

If you feel you were treated poorly in boot, ask yourself if anything your DI instilled in you helped to possibly save your life later.

I have reflected much on my boot experence, and I took nothing out of it but a bad experence (although I quit the military after basic becasue I refused to go to OCS and be subjected to 3 more months of boot), I finally got my final discharge a week ago and I went to boot in jan 05. God and letters from my wife are what got me through boot, a nervous break down was not an option unless it were coupled with going AWOL (since getting a phyc lable would only keep me there longer and in turn prolong the cause of my breakdown, which is really counter productive) I also had a busted ancle I passed a PT test with because I hated that place and the people so very much, I really did feel like a prisoner and it would surprise me if she did not feel the same way, prayer is always good but she may be in a tough situation and may need congressional help (legal help takes way to long and a lawyer can not bring down the hammer like a congressional inquiry can). What she is going through is likely an absolute nightmare and hazing someone who is in recovery adds no training value and that is exactly what they do.

I am sure the medical treatment is very good, I am refering to the general treatment day to day when she should be in a removed from training status (ie she should not have any association with drills but I know she does and I know what they do).

 right on! Reps to you.

it should amaze me how some folks just got to try to derail a thread with their bitter off topic hatefilled agenda. But, with some that post here, sad to say, it dont.

no where in the OP is being treated less than humanely mentioned, no where is anything remotly suggesting that contacting congress is needed, no where is any hint or mention of mistreatment. no where. talk about making false inuendos!

back to the OP/topic..... Gwenyfur, thanks for the update on armygirl88. my thoughts will be with her.

If ya didn't want to be there, then you should have never signed a contract or raised your right hand and taken an oath.

Don't blame the service because you couldn't cut the mustard!
