In an Israeli newspaper, I read this

"Jewish sources say that the Ark will be discovered a short time before the coming of the Messiah. Nachmanides wrote that the Ark would be discovered "during the construction of the Temple or in future wars before the coming of the Messiah king." Rabbi Getz also believed that finding the Ark and/or Temple artifacts would serve as a catalyst for the coming of the Messiah"

(April 14 Haeretz)
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/pages/ShArt.jhtml?itemNo=286935

Being near Easter, this is an important topic. I feel that the ark was in Herod's temple, despite the missing records of this, and was taken to heaven. We read of it being seen there in Revelations.

This makes a lot of sense, as it represented the very presence of God, so it's taking away then would have great meaning. Of course when Jesus died, God had the veil of the temple ripped from the top on down, exposing that there was now nothing inside! Next time we hear of it is in heaven

Re 11:19 - And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
To my knowledge, there is not any official Jewish record of the veil being torn, let alone the ark missing. In fact I think the opposite extreme may be true in that records were disposed of or cleaned that even place the ark there at all. This I think is why it is a mystery today.

That is what I think happened to the ark, I have no doubts.

Yet, I agree with the article here, in that an 'ark' may be 'found' in the end. I have read other stories saying even it was secretly in storage, and will be revealed soon.

If true, how could this be explained? There was, apparently a replica ark that ended up in Ethiopia, a gift to Sheba's son, apparently.

Back in the days of an Israeli operation to airlift black Ethiopian Jews from Ethiopia to Israel, some reported that the 'ark' was secured also, and transported to Israel.

If an ark is 'discovered' or 'revealed' there and claimed to be the real one I believe it will be this replica. Even the dates are close here, if carbon dated, as well as the materials, so it would not be possible to tell the difference. Unless we knew the real one was in heaven!!

Interesting my friend. But what good is a replica Ark going to them, if its not the real one it wont have the divine powers granted to it by God. I believe the Ark will be found during the End of Days, after all, somethings regarding Revelations were not written and kept secret from us.

They cannot have the devine powers of the ark of God because they had the savior killed. The point is that if they ever claim they have the real thing, it could not be.

If Revelations says it is in heaven, why do you claim it will be found here? It is in safe Hands.

Finding passages in Scripture has never been my strong point. Where does it say the Ark lost its powers after Jesus was killed?

Happy Easter! He is Risen!
It has plenty of powers in the place in the New Testament is is mentioned. Thing is, it is in heaven. The reason it had power was because it represented the very presence of God with His then people.
When the enemies grabbed it, we notice they could not use it, and had to get rid of it, cause it was too much for them.
If it was returned to earth, and ended up in the hands of the ones that had Jesus killed, I am afraid there would be hell to pay. Thankfully, it is safe in heaven.
Also, anyone having the real ark would have to be God's people, and Jesus is the way to God now. The place where the ark used to be kept was ripped open by God when Jesus was killed. The message is clear, Jesus is now the representaion of God.
I have heard one Christian legend that said that the veil was sewed back up, after it was ripped, showing the ark, and all contents were now gone. It was empty. This would have invalidated the whole religion, -why go to a temple if God was no longer there? So it makes sense they covered it up. After all, the bible didn't lie.
There is no way on earth the real ark could get back to modern Israel. If one is claimed, it is the replica, or something similar.
Somewhat similar to the animal sacrifices that will soon be resumed. Since Jesus alteady came, and the lamb was already sacrificed, this would be true blasphemy to start them up again. God allows the antichrist to go in, and shut it down! It simply won't be tolerated. Likewise, the real ark could never be there. Happy Easter to you too. This is the Easter message, really.

Whats in the Ark anyways? My uncle said that the Ten Commandments, a cup of manna, and Aarons Rod are in it. is there anything else?
That's all I remember as well. It seems to represent a direct connection to God. If I remember right, the manna was still good, centuries after. It was like a link to the spiritual. It overruled the instincts of animals even. One time a cow pulled it back to Israel, somehow knowing where to go by itself, and never slowed or turned even for the crying of her little young calf that was crying for her. Then there was the time the enemies stuck it in a pagan temple with their idol, to find next morning that the hands were cut off the idol, and I think the head as well, and it was in a bowing position before the ark!!! Then of course there were the angels of the Lord the smote enemies who had it without His permission, and made them give it up. Etc.

I have known for a long time about the Ark being under temple mount.

I have also known that there is an ark in Ethiopia which the Queen of England (Elizabeth II) has seen.

It would be interesting to find out whether it will be seen or not.

You think you have. I don't think you have seen it, or that you have any idea if it was 'the' ark.

Sources? In one book, it says that ark was taken to Israel.

"
Grant R. Jeffrey "Prince of Darkness: Antichrist and the New World Order
"I received reports from three sources, Canadian, Ethiopian and Israeli, that claimed the Ark was secretly returned to Israel during the violent closing days of the
Ethiopian Civil War some thirty months ago. As the Israeli Mossad agents prepared to fly thousands of Ethiopian Jews home to Israel they were forced
to bribe the Ethiopian officials to allow them to free their Jewish brothers. As the victorious northern army closed in on the capital, the evil communist officials of the defeated government demanded millions in bribes from Israel before they fled to wealthy exile Switzerland. As the last twenty thousand black Jews of Ethiopia began to fly to Jerusalem, the Israeli cargo planes landed every few minutes in Addis Ababa to pick up another load of
Ethiopian Jewish refugees.
"Three credible sources independently told me the same fascinating story. For years, since the rebirth of Israel, the Mossad and Jewish religious authorities tried to negotiate the return of some priceless Jewish relics from
the underground temple in Aksum, Ethiopia, including the Ark of the Covenant. Apparently, the corrupt Ethiopian officials demanded a secret bribe of an additional $42 million from Israel to permit them to take the Ark of the
Covenant home. The reports claim that a special team of trained Levites carried the Ark with the staves in the prescribed manner into an unmarked cargo plane. They said the Levites carried the Ark on their shoulders while
supported with leg braces during the long flight because they would not set the Ark down. My sources claim the $42 million paid to the crooked officials turned out to be counterfeit money. Israel took $42 million in real currency and gave it to the incoming democratic government of Ethiopia. Since the outgoing dictatorship left the treasury without a penny, this $42 million was
the only money the new government had to begin its operations. My sources told me the Ark is now held in a secret location in Israel waiting for the
rebuilding of the Temple."

So, Who says this isn't the one you think you know about?

It would be interesting to find out whether it will be seen or not.
Yes, but there is no real question as to whether it will be the real ark that will be seen when this thing is seen.

How'd the Ark get to Ethiopia? I saw on T.V. that the priest took it and fled Isreal after a corrupt and idol worshipping king took the trone. the priest feared for the Arks wellbeing and took it to Ethiopia. Is there any truth to this claim. And Dad, are you sure that the Ark is in heaven, not that I'm calling you a liar, but if it is, there goes the basis and theme for a story I planned the write.

There is a difference of opinion on that. I have heard some tell me that the ark in heaven was not the real one, or I think some kind of fable or something, I can't remember exactly. My opinion is it is now in heaven, as the bible says it will be. If it was there in the temple in Jesus' day, God took it up to heaven from the holy of holies!

'No one is going to claim I am with them when they killed My son' sort of thing. No surprise the records were purged if this was the case.

As for Ethiopia, there are a few opinions and stories about that as well. Many in that country thought the real ark was there. My opinion is that the one there was a replica made in Solomon's day. But I can say that I could not believe God would allow the real ark to end up in the new Jewish temple coming soon. If one is claimed, it is not the real one.

To who? The nation that had Jesus killed? Why? To show God really was actually still with them all along, and Jesus was spare parts?

The ark that everyone should be concerned with is the one in heaven! Rev 11:19.
That is the real one. That is the one I think was taken up when Jesus was killed. That is the one that I don't believe will be in the new Jewish temple, should any claim they found it somewhere.
