• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Is it against the Christian God, a monotheistic version of God, or the concept of divinity in general?

It's up to you. ;)

I've gave some arguments in my first post that you could argue against.

So you saw healings and/or near instant healings ? If so, please feel free to tell :)

I wasn't asking so much about your arguments, rather, something you've seen or experienced personally in your life that you were like, "THAT is proof !" or perhaps near proof, etc.

I didn't see healings, I just heard of them from people or organisations I trusted. I'd heard people talking about being healing.

I once prayed for someone in a group, and we all felt a strong 'presence of God' as I was praying. I was already doubting God at that point, but I think I viewed that as potentially good evidence.

I let out a chuckle when I read this. The modal ontological argument is probably one of the strongest - but still not strong.

I think (and so sorry for repeating WLC) but that each of these arguments in and of themselves are not perfect and nor do they alone prove that God exists. They are all part of accumulating evidence for God.

How big does this accumulation ever get?

Hmm ... interesting. I wonder why you viewed that as potentially good evidence ?

It is really really hard to argue the opposite of what you think makes good sense without devolving into parodies of those arguments.

I find it terribly sad you can't see or experience the world apart from your little book.
