The new covenant reveals that mankind is the one who brings destruction upon himself when he opposes God and seeks to live apart from God... all God is doing is allowing man to reap what he sows by stepping out of the way and letting man have what he desires... darkness!

This was not spelled out in the OT, but is in the NT...

You are reading scripture incorrectly. God is speaking of mute, deaf or seeing or blind in a spiritual sense. Blinding them to truth in other words as he has done with you.

so you also must read "by His stripes we are healed" to mean we are healed in the spiritual sense.

That means He is taking away their understanding, He is speaking spiritually.
He is not the cause of our infirmity, we are. WE are deaf. dumb and blind to truth.

Oh, that's a terrible reading of that passage. That doesn't make any sense in light of the rest of the context. According to this line of thinking, Aaron didn't have lack of spiritual understanding because he could already speak well, but the understanding of Moses was being taken away by God, and then Moses would be as "God" of Aaron and give him (who understands) the words who speaks (from who doesn't understand).

Then the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses and he said, Is there not Aaron, your brother, the Levite? I know that he can speak well. Behold, he is coming out to meet you, and when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart. You shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth, and I will be with your mouth and with his mouth and will teach you both what to do. He shall speak for you to the people, and he shall be your mouth, and you shall be as God to him.

Matthew 23:25-26

"25 Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. 26 Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean."

It's talking about the Pharisees appearing to be squeaky clean on the outside, but being full of greed and self-indulgence on the inside. The difference between the inner life and outer life.

Was that directed towards my interpretation of the scripture louise sheinholtz referenced?

If not, please accept my apologies ahead of time. I have a kicking headache, my daughter has an unknown rash in her groin area that she has scratched into a bloody mess and after all that's been going on with my wife I think that I have hit my limit and am just taking anything that may look like it is aimed at me to heart.

Well, I stood on God's promise of healing that cover any aspect of life that needs healing... and I've been healed from poverty (healing of the wallet), healed from addiction (healing of the soul), and I've not been sick in over 25 years (physical health)

It turns out... scripture actually DOES support God's doctrine of being a good God that desires to reverse the curse for His Children!

NO, It is speaking of the squeaky clean on the outside who are mostly the pharisees who talk, but, don't walk what they teach, especially those that so overly quote scripture. And that includes the outer and inner life, including past experiences.
He is speaking to all sinners, and we are all sinners. Every one of us.
This also includes physical healing.
Some who have hungered and thirsted to overcome have been healed emotionally and physically once the cup has been cleansed.

I would really look into both possibilities.
