Hi all,
As you can tell by my post count, I'm new here. Since I am a Lutheran (was ELCA, currently WELS and considering LCMS), I will likely spend more time here than anywhere else so I thought I'd introduce myself here specifically.
My name's Mark and I'm happily married to a wonderful woman, have two awesome stepsons, and a plethora of pets. We love fishing, football and being Wisconsinites--cheese and the Green Bay Packers! (And yes, I do enjoy a good beer from time to time!)
From a theological standpoint, I'm a conservative, confessional and orthodox Lutheran, who, after years of angst and by the grace of God, finally learned and understood the uniqueness of the Lutheran Confession a few months ago: that we can rely solely on the external work of God (Jesus' work on the cross along with Word and Sacrament) in everything instead or our own feelings, which originate from sinful flesh and mind.
In coming to that realization, I have finally begun to understand the quiet confidence of many of my brothers and sisters in the faith.
