Wow... been ages and ages since I posted something here. Nice to be back and I hope I am back...or am I?

Well~ to be more specific... if you want to be a single for a certain amount of years or even a lifetime~ read on and feel free to post up encouragements for other members to read! I'm just typing from my point of view

As I am a senior in high school( SENIOR PRIDE!!!) this year, I look back to my past and I see a lot of interesting events that had occured. I had fallen in love many times and always wanted that special someone. But after having a discussion with my youth pastor and other people... single isn't that bad.... IT'S AWESOME!

For me... it was a little hard to believe. I always thought I had a missing puzzle piece in my heart and I thought having that special someone will complete it. Yet my youth pastor told me many great things of being single. It all starts with...

DO YOU WANT TO GLORIFY/HONOR/ETC. GOD?!

He puts it this way (paraphrased from what I remembered): "Think about it. You could spend 7 years dating with that person. You guys will be going to movies, play miniture golf, and everything together--it's a waste of time. But if you want to receiving ground-breaking blessings, live for him completely. For those 7 years, God will reveal crazy things you could have never imagine."

I'm pretty sure from my understanding living for God as a single would be MUCH easier than dating. You will depend on God for His love rather than a love that could disappear anytime.

Read 1 Corinthians chap. 7. When I read it after my youth pastor explaining it, IT WAS LIKE DELICIOUS STEAK! If you wanna talk to someone who's yearning to be a single until the time comes or anything else~ feel free to e-mail me!

Add up additional encouragements for the singles of christianforums.com!

I think God can give equally great blessings whether you're single OR in a relationship.... whatever you do, do it for His glory :) Some people are "wired" to be single, while others do better in relationship... 'tis a combo of choice and natural temperament :)
