Yes Praise God I know i am saved because the spirit of god lives in me.
Paul Washer is not afraid to speak the truth

How do you know when the Spirit of God lives in you and how do you know when your saved? I hear some speak of great feelings of peace and joy and I have yet to ever experience such a thing, in fact when I try to draw close to God something just does not seem right.

Hey Robert, you ever listened to one of Paul Washer's sermons?

Not interested in watching a Calvinist video.

I'm truly saved because I realized I was a sinner on my way to Hell and then trusted Jesus Christ alone for my salvation. Amen!

why are you speaking in past tense?

what happened on May 13th, 2002?

I realized I was a sinner and trusted Jesus Christ to save me? I just told you that.

Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." KJV

Ephesians 1:13 "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise," KJV

You're still using past tense.

1. Are you still a sinner?

2. You you still trust Jesus Christ to save you?

3. What fruits show in you life?

1. I have flesh and spirit, so yes, but I am a saved sinner.

2. Yes, but even if I did not, 2 Timothy 2:13 KJV

3. I can tell you believe in Lordship Salvation(false doctrine). I go to church, witness, study my Bible, etc.

Paul in his letters speak of people who were saved, past tense. This is the point when one was adopted into the family of God by Christ blood by beginning to trust in Christ alone for their salvation, grace, mercy, faith, repentance, justification, sanctification, washing, renewal, rebirth, mediator, glorification... Everything. Paul focuses on the "being saved" act but also refers to salvation as a present act, so unless you want to pick quarrels with Paul, it's perfectly fine to refer to past tense. But it should also be a present tense, and future tense. But even if we are faithless, He will remain faithful. But if we deny Him, He will deny us.

post scripture please...I think I know what you are talking about and I don't know if the context suggests such.
