Are you superstitious about certain numbers?

Some people have numbers that they consider lucky or unlucky, they also have numbers that they just plain avoid.

I like 3,7, and 22... I can't really think of any real reason for it.

What about you?

I dislike odd numbers, except for 111, because I like the way 111 looks. Which is the only reason it's my goal weight, all the other numbers look clumbersome and awkward. Even numbers are just pretty.

Numbers don't really bother me. I remember a cashier who once almost begged my mom to buy something else because her total was $6.66. My mom looked at her like she was a nut and refused.

I like that number too. It reminds me of hobbits. I used to weigh that too.

Not really superstitious, but I've always loved the number 7...for biblical reasons and also John Elway was number 7

Not superstitious, but there are numbers that I like and hate. I hate the numbers 6 and 9, and any other number containing those numbers, like '26' for example.

I love the number 40 though. That one and also 18.

When my boss gave me my ID number I wasn't surprised. Even numbers follow me around. Especially 6 and 8. I like the number 17. And 42.

I don't think there's any number that I dislike.

I always claim that my lucky number is 5. Just because I've won a bunch of stuff using that number.

I don't believe in luck though so its just my preferred number choice.

I do not hold any superstitious beliefs with regard to our decimal, or 10 based number system. It wouldn't bother me to stay on the 13th floor, or 13th room of a hotel, or wonder at the implications of being born on the 6th day, 6th month and 6th year of the new millenium.

That said - when I'm playing craps at the casino - I will always bet the "don't win" or "don't come" line - betting on a 7 coming before an established number - simply because it's the best bet in the house from a mathematical pov.

I will admit to getting a bit avoidant with 666 (although the receipt example above wouldn't really bother me), but that's out of social conditioning and the scars resulting from it, not my own personal theological views.

I've always disliked the idea of reading meaning into numbers. Maybe that's because I've always disliked math lol. Anyway, it just sort of seemed like a creepy idea, so I just don't.

I dislike prime numbers because they make math harder. At some times in my past that dislike may have reached into the realm of superstition.
