You will be happy to know that you don't need to read a complete book of Ellen G. Whites writing to be able to compare her writings with the Bible. There are many Sabbath School Lessons that have been/will be posted with only text from the Bible used for regular study. Many of the additional study helps for each day, however, will contain writings from the pen of E.G.W. on that same subject.

What's this about comparing EGW's writings with the Bible? Why do you think that is a sufficiently significant issue that you should raise it here?

I had posted the following because many have not read, or possibly don't own any of Ellem G. White's books. The additional S.S. Lesson Study Helps often contain portions/passages that are directed toward the same topic as the lesson.

I thought that I was simply following a logical train of thought. And now you ask?

My original post was prompted because statements have made in the past that some here in this forum have not read, or do not own, any of E.G.Ws. work. At the same time there are those here in this forum who do not accept E.G.W. as an inspired writer and cast doubt on her and her writings. Here a comparison can be made without reading a complet book or looking up every applicable text on the topic under discussion.

The lessons are there. I understand that you probably have put a lot of time and care into them and I respect that; horses will drink when they are ready.

Hi Annie,

What you say is correct when speaking about most horeses and some humans. However in the case of humans there is sometimes the need to remind them of what is available.

By the way, while I don't know who all is included in the count, there have been several thousand "hits" on the SS LESSON DAILY STUDY GUIDES since they were introduced. So I guess I'll just keep plugging away posting and reminding. It's just possible that someone will be blessed as a result.

You will hear Pastor Steve Allread, Youth Pastor at Sacramento Centeral Seventh-day Seventh-day Adventist Church, present the SS Lesson for today, 2/9/08. This presentation should be heard every Seventh-day Adventist!
