Are you INFJ? And does that mean that INFJs get along well with each other?

I am INFJ. I'll include some data later ( or somebody else can). Are you eccentric like me? Tend to feel you are perceptive and not enjoy rational, left brain debate?
Starting to sound like a pain already?
We are all complex. I feel complex but I know that doesn't make me any better than simple souls who get on with it and just do it. I envy such people who are unpretentious and pragmatic. The hard workers of the world don't suffer procrastination and moral dilemmas. I can create moral dilemmas out of very simple problems , someone once told me.

  • I – Introversion preferred to extraversion: INFJs tend to be quiet and reserved. They generally prefer interacting with a few close friends rather than a wide circle of acquaintances, and they expend energy in social situations (whereas extraverts gain energy).[4]
  • N – Intuition preferred to sensing: INFJs tend to be more abstract than concrete. They focus on the big picture rather than the details, and on future possibilities rather than immediate realities.[5]
  • F – Feeling preferred to thinking: INFJs tend to value personal considerations above objective criteria. When making decisions, they often give more weight to social implications than to logic.[6]
  • J – Judgment preferred to perception: INFJs tend to plan their activities and make decisions early. They derive a sense of control through predictability

According to online personality tests on the Internet, I am also an INFJ.

However, my 2 closest friends seem to be Extroverts.

I am not perceptive. I don't have Common Sense. I rely on my feelings rather than logic....

My guess is that INFJ's would not get along well with each other because they are all introverts

Logic bores me. I know debate depends on it so that is why I don't enjoy those kinds of threads. But our style might annoy others I fear.

I wish that I could engage in logical debate.

Logical debate is what this world seems to value.

I, however, frequently post threads such as, "Emotionally hurting and lonely."

I definitely think that people are annoyed by my reliance on my feelings and emotions

I think you can be perceptive (have insight) without having common sense. I don't have common sense but I feel I can see through sneaky agendas sometimes. But I am sometimes wrong of course.

maybe you need to explore that strength more. Artistic talent perhaps? I think I have some artistic talent, example music, but needed to work on it much more.

My father hates the fact that I lack common sense....

I know. I am often bullied by my older "common sense" siblings for lacking it. I hate their arrogance actually. They think "common sense " wins the day. And it does tend to, in a secular sense. Fortunately we know, that God sees the bigger picture Its up to us, to find our place in the world, somehow.

My father and my brother definitely think that "common sense" and "logic" win the day.

I am really happy that God sees the bigger picture.

Just reading this again, I can see you suffering a lot of angst over your father, who is the bully in your story. I think what might be helpful is to see that he promotes what is his strength, which seems to be "common sense" and logic. he lacks the broad intelligence of seeing strength in areas such as emotional intelligence and creativity. Sorry I need to work on my advice in order to help you more. I can feel some of your pain though. Sorry to hear that.

I honestly will pray for you KA. A girlfriend might help you too. One who can help you emotionally and psychologically. But of course your main source of validation will come from God!

You give excellent advice. You are correct in saying that my father lacks the broad intelligence of seeing strength in areas such as emotional intelligence and creativity.

My father criticizes me because he says that I lack common sense and wisdom.

My father is a jack-of-all-trades, very good with all kinds of tools. However, I cannot use a hammer to save my life.

My father thus criticizes the fact that I cannot use tools such as a shovel or a hammer....

My father is definitely the bully in my life story....

Mr. Paul, thank you for your prayers. Yes, my main source of validation will come from God.

God is the bigger picture isn't he. I mean He loves my enemies as much as he loves me. Much to my annoyance and puzzlement! :)

Yes, I am annoyed that God loves my enemies....:)
