This picture doesn't really qualify because you can't see our faces, but I am in love with the view. And I love the heart of my friend who is always willing to run around in seek of beauty and adventure with me, in the most literal sense.

I love your top!!!! Your face is beautiful too, but I mean, I can't buy that but I could possibly buy the top! Where did you buy it? :)
Thanks! It's a dress from Frock and Frill. I'm obsessed with them- they make gorgeous impractical hand beaded things

You know, Stanfordella, before I learned you had Addison's disease, I was very tempted to reply to one of your photos jokingly telling you to eat a sandwich because of your small frame.

Good thing I didn't. I would have felt terrible afterwards.

I've had people make comments of that nature so often for so long I'm not impacted by it anymore. I was stuck in a situation that was boring last week, and wrote a rather angsty post in the teen section here about how such commentary used to be hurtful, haha. As you can see from the video I shared in that post, I've actually come a long way, and along the way, my skin has thickened. As Shakespeare wrote, "though she be but little, she is fierce." :)

Just wanted to say that I appreciate you being so honest and transparent. I have struggled with body image issues from the opposite end of things. From about 2nd grade on I was a big kid growing up and heard about it from other kids and some adults in my life. I grew up feeling like I was a second-class human being because I wasn't skinny.

Accepting our bodies is a journey for sure. I don't accept patterns of unhealthy behavior in my life that lead to me gaining weight unnecessarily, but I will never apologize for being a big guy with some extra meat on the bones. It's interesting how people will tend to not make comments (at least in person) about people's weight at all in regards to them being bigger than "normal" (whatever that is), but it is totally socially acceptable for people to make comments to those who they deem as underweight. Because of that you have been subjected to a lot of unfair scrutiny, and I'm sorry you had to endure all that. I'm glad that you found strength in the experience. I am still on that journey but have come a long way as well.

It goes to show that while our brains are quick to categorize and make assumptions, we can't allow ourselves to run with those. We don't know the journeys that people are on. I think it also shows that the best antidote for assumption is friendship. Where we don't have an active relationship with someone it is not our place to speak into their lives uninvited. Taking liberty to make comments about others they don't know is one of the horrible things about most people's online behavior.

Thanks.. but I have a secret... it's clip in bangs :D At least for now, might cut them again after the wedding.

I never knew there was such a thing as clip in bangs. How does that work? All the beauty stuff gals do awes me. Confuses me at times, but awes me too. You look great, however the bangs work.
