Definitely can see this being possible and even probable. We have a lot to look forward to in the next life and I too have imagined such possibilities, sort of like a lucid dream but feels less dreamy and more like everyday life. Of course these worlds would be just artificial or fake because it's not too hard to see the obvious problems of these people in such worlds being real and the issues with messing with actual people compared to just a fantasy world.

I'm old enough to remember all of the 90s and you are most definitely correct that we had the best of everything.

As for going back to that I don't think it's possible to re-live anything, but we can carry those memories with us and sort of re-experience that through nostalgia. I believe God gave us memory as a gift and way of experiencing good times again and reflecting on that and all His other blessings.

I prefer the early 2000's. I remember from about 1992 onwards, so I caught most of the 90's, but I just prefer the early 00's.

2002 was particularly fun. And painful - I was at the height of my skateboarding days, and I feared nothing.

1997 was a good year for Neighbours. Just ask Mr Moe.

My childhood in the 90's was great, but I'm not sure the 90's were objectively good.

One thing I learned in a film lecture this past spring that I hadn't realized before is that the 90's were a decade that we collectively, as a society, turned a blind eye to the recent blots in our nations history and the social issues that were at work.

That's why we have such rose colored glasses about that decade, it seemed like there were no problems. Really the whole of society had decided to forget them.

I remember the Bosnian War, Kosovo, the Oklahoma City bombing, the first WTC bombing, Rodney King, etc. The national disposition was such that the public didn't make as much of it as with the issues and crises that occur today.

Problems mark every decade in the last century not just the 90s.

And it was a great time to be a kid.

To be fair, my parents say the same time about the 50s and 60s...
Which is my point. It's a great time for kids. Kids don't know anything of what's going on in the world. Regardless, every person is going to say that their childhood was ideal and it is to each one of us no matter what turmoil marks each decade.

Yep, it is.

I just find it very interesting to look back as and see what the decade was like from an adult perspective, and hold it side-by-side to the idyllic world I remember from my childhood.

@Stanfordella idk if anyone has asked this yet but are you going to have a profession that involves the acrobatic stuff? Have you thought about that before?

I used to dream about being in Cirque du Soleil on day. Now my ambition is to go to law school and eventually enter into politics. So, I will join the circus, just not the one I'd pictured as a child, haha.
