Are You a Grandparent?

I have 3 grown children with one child each so I am grandma 3 times,and as it says on a T- shirt "If I knew Grandkids were so much fun,I would have had them first"! I have one granddaughter who is 16 we are buddies and a 14 year old grandson who lives in TN, only get to see him once a year on vacation,and my baby is my 4 year old granddaughter,who is the essence of sweetness and fun.

I'm a grandma twice - my grandboys are great little guys. The oldest (4 1/2) is just a hoot - I should write down the stuff he says because he really is funny. The youngest (16 months) is much more serious - he stares at people like he's seeing into their souls - he's very intense.

My daughter doesn't even date - so I'm thinking the boys will be it for a while.

Yaaay! Let the fun begin! From 6 months on I think they are a blast. Especially when they start talking. I could listen to my granddaughter's stories all day,she cracks me and her daddy up,what an imagination!

I truly wish I had these wonderful grandparenting stories to tell...unfortunately my grandparenting experience has been less than wonderful.

Our oldest son, despite everything we taught and prayed about, has fathered six children by five different women. Two of them I see as often as possible....one has lived with another man/father since she was a baby and has other sets of grandparents and I'm not even sure she has been told who I am. I see her often enough for it to hurt. Another one I haven't seen since she was about a year (her mother's choice). One was placed in foster care (I don't know where) because of his mother's neglect and drug use. One was placed in the care of his siblings father who seems to take great pleasure in keeping us apart.

Only recently has my son become stable enough to even see any of them regularly and the two he sees are the two I get to see. His current girlfriend has three of her own so I claim them as well. So lets see, that makes.....nine!

And I have two more sons, one 19 and one 17. By the time they marry and have children my grand-list will be as long as my arm!!

Oh my heart goes out to you. I know that must really hurt. My son did not marry his daughter's mother because she cheated on him,so they have shared parenting and he gets her every other weekend and I see her on Saturday only usually,when he brings her over for the afternoon to visit. No, I'm not a grandparent. I might have been, had my first four children not miscarried. The oldest would have been 26 this year.

You have a decade jump on me. I'm just starting to have to deal with puberty. So, thinking about becoming a grandparent is just so not where my head's at, at this stage of the game.

My oldest, my 5th child is 13 years old. My 6th child is 10, and my 7th child is 7. (click profile for picture of them) And, I am really hopeful that my children will finish college before they get married and have children. So, I'm thinking, that I've still got a while before I have to wrap my mind around it.

My husband thinks so - he has a granddog - a Scottie. However, IMNSHO - Cloud is just a nice dog who visits my house.

I have 3 grandchildren. Two boys, 7 and 5, and as I don´t have daughters, just two sons, the joy of my life is my grand-daughter aged 3 who is my spitting image!

I have two grandbabies, girls. They are (almost) 3 and 18 mo. I'm crazy about them... and now they LIVE with me. OH BOY! Now I don't have a minute to myself! My daughter and her husband split 4 months ago and now she's finally working (at the same place I work, opposing shifts with me). Guess who baby-sits? I'm one tired Grandma!!!!

lol...grandpuppies do count. My grandbaby is 4yrs old, the best thing about being a grandma is, you get to spoil them and then give them back.
