Eh, I havent started a new thread in a long time. Anyhow, I believe many people dont have a proper idea of what a fundamentalist is except for what the media portrays it to be.

Due to media propaganda a fundamentalist has grown to become synonymous with extremist.

When someone is called a fundametalist it is viewed negatively now a days.

For those of you of all faith regardless if you are Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Budhist etc if you follow the fundamentals of your religion then technically you are a fundamentalist.

You cannot be a Christian, Jew, or Muslim if you do not follow the fundamental teachings of your respected religion.

I as a Muslim adhere to the fundamental teachings of Islam in everyday life. So therefor I am a fundamentalist

Fundamentalism in Christianity today is not true fundamentalism..

Fundamentalists of today started after Martin Luther.. It has no apostolic connection..

A fundamentalist would be someone who adheres to sola scriptura and Martin Luthers protestant ideologys.. So in reality there are not true fundamentalists..Rather it is just another protestant sect label, like Baptist, Pentecoastal, Charismatic, etc..

Now Orthodoxy would be a much better word :)
