Today i was listening to a sermon on tape. The sermon was preached by Jack Younts and it was titled " a weeper, a dreamer, and a singer" in the sermon he talked about us as christains being too comfortable with our satutus in our walk with God that we do not whitness to others. He made me think....are the kids and adults around my town going to go to hell becasue im to comfortable being were i am? Sometimes we as christians think just beacuse we have large churches and nice facilities and good music that we have all we need. Its true we have all these things and I love it but i think its a shame that we do not sometimes share it with the people that we need to be sharing with. The people who really need it. I am 18 and just graduated high school i went to the same high school for 13 years of my life and for all 13 years i was the only pentecostal person out of 500 people. I was all alone and I loved every minute of it because that ment my light could shine brighter. In Psalms it talks about the men going into the foreign land and the soldiers asking them to sing them one of the songs of zion and they replied " how shall we sing the lords song in a strange land?" How can you not sing??? If you just sit and look around you, you can see that there are loads of people out there just waiting to be whitnessed to and wanting to be whitnessed to. Sure they may laugh at you the first time but what about the second? what about the third? what if the first time they laugh but then they being to think "ya know maybe there is something to this whole jesus thing" and the second time you whitness to them you get them to come to church and what if they get saved? all becuase you didnt give up on them. Have any of you ever thought about if you are too comfortable with your walk with God that you just stop wanting to grow and learn more in him?
