  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Are we the only inhabited planet in God's Universe?

Thanks Yahweh for granting you this wisdom to post.

Reading Scripture plainly through and through, with trusting faith relying on the Father in heaven,
it is obvious that there is no life anywhere else than stated in His Word...
The clear falsity of aliens (yes, as you posted, like starkwreck )
to visit or live anywhere else in the universe is
at best absurd, at worse heresy or anti-Gospel, as many things associated with aliens are also.

Just like no two people have identical fingerprints, no two planets are the same either.

...There may be microbes or single celled organisms on 'almost' habitable planets, but no planet will ever be better for life than earth. With that, life will never advance to our level of hightened intelligence anywhere else, ever.

You would not have liked the drunken singer and picker that I was and to this day it brings tear to my eyes that YHWH loved me anyway.

Given the vastness of the universe and the number of planets that we have already detected around nearby stars, I regard it as inevitable that we will not only find planets with life but planets with intelligent life.

If only Yahweh had not created only one inhabitable planet.....

If only man's corrupt nature had not received from Jesus' enemy the temptation and deception to ever think of such a thing as aliens on other planets....

If only everyone would rest in the Truth and Peace of Jesus, and throw out all that is contrary to His Word.... (and the Spirit of His Word)....

It would only be an alien if it came to our planet. On its own planet it would be a "native".

Given the vastness of the universe and the number of planets that we have already detected around nearby stars, I regard it as inevitable that we will not only find planets with life but planets with intelligent life.

I heard that scientists discover a new planet about every six minutes. But what's baffled scientists is that the more planets they find, the more they also find environments that are nightmarish. Where there's water, it is completely frozen over, they find planets with streaming rivers of lava, others that don't rotate, and all kinds of other inhospitable conditions.

But the conditions here on earth are near perfect. Did you know, for instance, that the core of our earth rotates separately from the crest, at a separate speed of It's own? This is what creates our magnetic field, and without a magnetic field, the suns radiation would dismantle our genes, and stop evolution entirely? Life could not exist without that alone.

Then there's the atmosphere, trapping gasses needed to breathe and also preventing space dust from dotting us like machine guns.

Liquid water covering our planet in just the right proportion that rains fall? The rotation being just the right speed to not cause massive hurricanes like the ones that engulf many entire planets and last for hundreds of years? That's typical. Then there's planets that rotate too fast

Each planet is like an individuals fingerprint. No two can be the same, even if there are googles of them.

Saying that, leaves open the possibility that some planets may be even better than earth. The real question is "can any society as technologically advanced as ours survive its own mistakes?"

Maybe it is a secret?
The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
(Deu 29:29)

That sounds to me like the revealed things have a purpose but that doesn't mean God doesn't have secret/hidden things.

There are those in the heavens that have dominions, rulers...

Deuteronomy 30:4 ESV
If your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there he will take you.

So there is an inhabitable place in the uttermost part of heaven.

Oh dear! It means what they thought was heaven, at the time. Probably, anywhere beyond the earthly boundaries they knew about would be heaven because they had no concept of 'space', other than above the canopy where the rain came from. Let's face it, they thought the sun and moved round the earth!

I was thinking it might be where Elijah or Enoch or Moses might be living until the second coming... Then God will gather them .... I am sure they visit Heavenly Courts every Sabbath .. of course.

A reasonable expectation, but it tells us nothing in reality. One might assume that they live in the heavenly Jerusalem, waiting to meet us all, but I do not think they will be Star Wars candidates.
