I’ve often thought about this and I believe it is very possible.

It would be more selfish to go beyond what God has said Karin. God has not said he created life on other planets.

I think life on other planets is plausible but not actually confirmed in the Bible. Nothing wrong with contemplating the idea but we shouldn’t teach it as truth.

Not going to play whimsical games of fancy with you Karin.

Not trying to play games.

You can't get so easily offended because someone has a different view. So I like to believe that God is amazing enough to have life spread accross the universe, so what?

Not something worth getting angry about.

We should be careful not to have beliefs that are not proven by the scriptures. It’s ok to entertain the possibility but not believe or teach it as truth.

Wasn't stating it as ultimate truth. I agree. But that has to apply both ways, just because we don't know doesn't mean we should say it doesn't exist. That's the entire basis of Christianity.

We are all only speculating about this, and having a sense of curiosity can be good!

Exo 3:2b-3 and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. (3) And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.

Too funny Karin, too funny. I don't get offended. Saying I do is not the way for you to win the argument.

Depends on how visionary defines a habitable planet. The simplest of bacterium are an alien life form. The earth is the only celestial body with human life forms created in the image of God not through evolution.

The New Earth is an expression used in the Book of Isaiah (Isaiah 65:17 & Isaiah 66:22), 2 Peter (2 Peter 3:13), and the Book of Revelation (Rev 21:1) to describe the final state of redeemed humanity.

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea did not exist any longer. 2 And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, (Revelation 21:1-4)

“Behold, the dwelling of God is with humanity,
and He will take up residence with them,
and they will be His people
and God Himself will be with them.
4 And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,
and death will not exist any longer,
and mourning or wailing or pain will not exist any longer.
The former things have passed away.”

“Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” Romans 1:21

"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;" 2 Corinthians 10:5

Liberals and progressives the likes of Hillary, Bernie and millions more think late term abortion is OK ... who place more faith in man and technology than Faith in the Word of God. (1 Timothy 4:1)

And there IS a verse that says THE WHOLE CREATION groans and travails together... so IF there is such life elsewhere, they are in the same situation spiritually as we???

So you think that they were dying for 2k years without the gospel ? No missionary visited other planets .

Romans 10:14 King James Version (KJV)
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

No

We actually don't know that. That's an open question. There's no problem fundamentally with Christian theology either way, though I suppose if we did meet an alien race, religious differences might be an issue, but the same is true on Earth as well among humans.

Something to consider:

The Universe is Infinite, according to many scientist over thousands of years. Now, if we believe it is truly infinite, is not presumptuous and selfish to think that we are the only living beings around?
Not really. It all depends on what mind set you approach the issue with. Even in the late Isaac Asimov's science-fiction series, "Foundation" he has it that a future galactic empire discovers that all life originated from an Eden like planet called Gala or Earth. It was thought by the people of the Empire to maybe be just a myth but they discovered it wasn't.

Asimov obviously lifted this from the Bible as the Garden of Eden was one small location and God's mandate was for man to make the rest of the Earth like the Garden. In this case the rest of the universe was to be made like the Earth. Interesting thought and I've often wondered what if man didn't sin? What if he then replenished the Earth and subdued it like God said to do...then what? Would it have been man going to the stars....to make the rest of the universe like Earth?

Unanswerable question but interesting. Jesus did talk however about principals of the Kingdom....God always takes something small and seemingly insignificant....and out of it effects something great. The Mustard seed is an example. Though it be the smallest seed of all when planted it grows and becomes greater and becomes overwhelmingly productive. Could the Earth be like the mustard seed to the rest of the universe? Who knows? Time will tell.

Might it be that God right now is doing things in stages? The stage now is dealing with the sin and salvation issues and who will be found worthy by their right choices of serving Jesus and becoming his child so that only those one will go to a stage 2...carrying out the original mandate...to go to the stars?

It would make sense on one level. If people (some of them or many of them choose to be corrupt) why let them expand outward with it into the beyond? If it is something like this where the children of God are allowed into all the universe beyond...replenishing new worlds and doing this or that....what a sadness it will be for those not allowed. Hell would be bad but not being allowed the excitement of this as well....how tragic.

I'm sorry but everything in this OP violates logic, common sense and the general rule of Hermeneutics. In this OP there is the truth that scripture has been pushed beyond what is clearly written of by jerking a verse or/and verses out of their clear context.

Through this method of raping the Text found in the scriptures I can easily prove that killing people is scriptually a godly action and by jerking other scripture out of it's context I can establish that killing any person, for any reason is forbidden by YWH.

Today we have men's idea of what the the Paleo-Hebrew and Koine-Greek and Aramaic scriptures say because they are dead languages.

And then there are the warnings people try, hard, to rationalize out of the way that begin with Duet 4:2 and end with the last verse of Rev. 22 in my Bibles.

YHWH has promised eternal damnation on any that add to or remove any words fro His Holy Scriptures.

If one wishes to imagine short stubby green men from Mars and hot pink women fro Venus, by all means, do so and write a Syfi about it and publish it through KDP and make some money from it but please, do not mess with the Holy Text of the scriptures/

Let's look at some of the evidence suggesting that there might be other inhabited planets. Please not the plural "worlds"

Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

The latest estimate I heard is that there could be 64 billion such planets that could be inhabited in our galaxy alone.

Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

"General Assembly" is the term used by the United Nations for a meeting of the representatives of every member nation on earth. We could have a heavenly federation of God's people and they don't have to look like us or be from our planet. What makes us think that we are the only beings on the only planet in God's Universe?

Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
