fomwatts,

im sorry, i really am sick of discussing this, but anyway.

you said,
We live in the flesh, therefore we are comprised of sin itself. We are holy and blameless in God's sight, but only because when He looks at us HE SEES CHRIST...WHEN we accept Christ as our Savior...

no, in galations chapter 5 it says by the spirit WE DO NOT FULLFILL THE LUST OF THE FLESH, and in romans 8.1 it says there is now no condemnation for those who are in christ, THAT WALK NOT ACCORDING TO THE FLESH BUT ACCORDING TO THE SPIRIT.
the bible clearly says that by the Spirit WE DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE ACCORDING TO THIS FLESH, and later in ch 8.13
it says that by the Spirit we mortify the DEEDS OF THE BODY through the spirit.
this is clearly speeking of our actions, and not just what he sees us like.

YOU CANNOT SAY THAT THE BIBLE TEACHES THAT THE FLESH CONDEMNS US TO SIN, BECAUSE IT SAYS THAT WE CAN MORTIFY THE FLESH AND ITS DEEDS BY THE SPIRIT.

and no you cannot say we are bound to sin forever.
becuase in romans 6.12
it clearly says
"let not sin therefor reighn in your mortal bodythat ye should OBEY in the lusts thereof."

no you are not bound to commit sins in your body, and this is speaking of actions becuase you dont have to OBEY the desire to sin.

i tried to make it very clear what romans 7 was teaching, paul was speaking of his past, not his present.
and you cannot say that he was teaching that he was bound in the flesh, becuase he says in the very next chapter that those who are in the flesh CANNOT PLEASE GOD. 8.8
and in verse 9 he says
BUT YOU ARE NOT IN THE FLESH...

so no not everyone is bound in the flesh to commit sins.

you cannot say everyone is bound to live in sin because in romans 6.2
"how shall we that are dead to sin live in sin anylonger?"

NO YOUR NOT SUPPOSED TO BE LIVING IN SIN. PAUL WAS TEACHING THAT IF YOU ARE DEAD TO SIN, THEN YOU DONT HAVE TO LIVE IN SIN.
and in romans 8.10 it says all you have to do to be dead to sin is have CHRIST BE IN YOU.

ok, you tell why the bible says Paul was able to act HOLY, JUSTLY, AND UNBLAMEABLY.
and you tell me why the bible clearly commands us to not sin anymore, and promises us a way of escape from every sin yet REALLY, ACCORDING TO YOU, we cant really stop sinning.

It says in James 'the demons believe and tremble. Many come down the isle, saying they believe, only to find out later that they were not really saved. They did not have a true conversion expereince and did not truly repent [turn away from] their sins.

I think that many hear John 3:16 and think that they are going into the pearly gates. The amplified Bible gives this, imo, very misunderstood verse a different slant.

John 3:16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up his only (unique) Son, so that whoever believe in (adheres to, trusts in,clings to,relies on) Him shall not perish -come to destruction, be lost-but have eternal (everlasting) life.

v18- He who believes in Him- who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him-is not judged (he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgement;for there is no rejection, no condemnation;he incurs no damnation) But he who does not believe (not cleave to, rely on, trust in Him is judged already; he has already been convicted) because he has not believed on and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God--He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ's name.

MY words- I walked the isle at the age of 8 and thought that I was saved. I was no different coming out of the waters than going in, because it was a 'head' belief. At age 23 I had a true conversion experience and bammm on came the lights. I became so hungry for God, I could not get enough of fellowship, prayer, Bible study, getting into the word. So hungry was I that I read the Bible straight through in 3 months. I say this to describe the hunger.

I have not always had this intense hunger, but when it wanes, God puts a pastor, missionary, spiritual friend in my path to give me back this hunger. A friend recommended this forum to me, that I did not know existed...Praise God, the hunger is back.

Paul said 'what do you have that was not given to you?' This keeps me humble. When God's gifts flow, it helps me to focus on and remember the source and to remember that it is nothing special about me. It is Him that is special, not me.
