There are plenty of signs of the endtimes mentioned in the text of the bible. Why do we also need to go on a fools errand to find more?

Even Jesus doesn't know when he is coming again, why should we? Sure we should be ready, but digging in computer programs to find a date is completely missing the point.

INHISGLORY, welcome to the forum. Sorry if that was a little bit harsh of a welcome but I have a sore spot for the bible code theory.

99% of the people who have ever believed they were in the end times are now dead.

I will live in the world as it is, trying to bring the Kingdom of Heaven to those I encounter. Some day, things will change. The future, in that sense, is none of my business.

Even my friends who don't believe in a god believe we are in times that are very different than ever before and that things are about to change drastically.

One of my friends told me about a climate model that shows global warming accelerating and rendering 1/4 to 1/3 of the earth uninhabitable within two decades. Sound like anything coming up in the tribulation period?

He also said that health experts are awaiting a global epidemic that outstrips any pandemic we've ever seen before and that models show that as much as 1/4 of the population of the earth could die from the flu withing weeks, due largely to the ease of global travel these days. Does that sound familiar?

People, remember that certain things must occur before God will send His wrath. For one, the Jewish Temple must be rebuilt. And, before that can happen, the Muslim's Dome of the Rock must be destroyed. Last time I looked, that golden dome is still there.

So, do not hold your collective breaths....

On the other hand, I have no doubt that every true Christian will recognize the signs when the Tribulation Period is approaching. We will look upon the beast, and know in our hearts just who he really is.

At least, that is my humble opinion....

LOL I appreciate you looking out for us and all.... But I would not place all my marbles in one bag especially when that bag also holds the bible code, myan and egyptian prophecies. First 2 of those are pagan, the bible code may also be pagan Im still working that one out but its pretty dang close.

I think what he means by Mayan prophesy is that the Mayan calendar completes its cycle soon and returns to zero. The mayan calendar is circular, not linear like ours.
