Are we allowed to believe in aliens?

I have always been fascinated in the thought of other life out there, and believed there is in some form or another.

Maybe there are aliens but they don't have the breath of life in them like humans do, kinda like animals just on other planets?

Does the bible say anything about aliens?

I know there is the big conspiracy about the angels in the picture actually being UFO's, but I think that is a convosation for another day :)
Thanks.

We are certainly allowed to believe that aliens exist. Perhaps they do.
If you are interested in that, I don't see how that can be a problem with your walk in faith.

As for the controversy thing, it's heretical. Angels are not aliens. Plain as that. If they were, God would have said so. He said many scientific things that humans could barely understand at that time (rotation of the Earth, spherical Earth, Earth being suspended by nothing, water cycle, etc.).

I find myself fascinated by aliens too. If they exist, that would be AWESOME! Haha!

No one can tell you what you are or are not allowed to believe. Your mind is your own. It is an absolute certainty that life, in some form, does exist in the universe; it would just be a complete waste of space, otherwise. Any one that tries to tell you that the whole universe was created just for humanity doesn't understand that we cannot see the vast majority of it and even less of the stuff that we can see has any effect on us.

However, whether their exists any intelligent lifeforms and whether they will ever come in to contact with us or with each other are two far more interesting questions.

The Old Testament, the only thing any one could really use as a scriptural argument against the existence of intelligent alien life, is so full of flaws and bad science that is completely irrelevant when asking a question about the material universe.

Yeah there's always a catch. I'd love to live to see the day that we make contact ( if we ever do) with aliens.

I often wonder if God made intelligent aliens somewhere, and gave them their version of Jesus ( still Christ, but in alien form ) and that there are actually loads of aliens in heaven.

Im letting my mind run too wild though, don't get mad with me if this is contradicted in the bible, I don't know lol

That would throw off the Hypostatic Union.
Jesus is 100% man and 100% God. Not 100% Alien, 100% Man and 100% God.

lol

That requires an anthropocentric definition of 'Man'.

It may not necessarily, in God's eyes, mean humanity but, rather, sapient beings of the material world, as opposed, to sapient beings of the spiritual world (angels/demons).

Yeah I knew there would be something stopping that idea, but it was just a random thought I had I haven't thought about it that much.

Also, whats Hypostatic Union?

The Hypostatic Union is the teaching that Jesus is 100% man and 100% God.

Jesus is the God-man.

Jesus is God:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." ~John 1:1, 14

"For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." ~Colossians 2:9

Jesus is man:
"Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have." ~Luke 24:39

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." ~Romans 5:8

Jesus had to be 100% and 100% God. He had to be God for His blood to be valuable enough; He had to be man for His blood to be applied to us and for Him to be able to die.

I think we all believe a little bit.
Some more than others.

I remember a few years ago.
That a Preacher was teaching that Aliens are in fact demons.
Well I thought this guy is crazy, how could aliens be demons.
So I started to study into it for myself.
After about five years of study and research.
Sure enough, I found a lot of information that could point to this being fact.
Do I believe 100 % that alien life is just a bunch of fallen angels or demons.
No, But I can say that I am about 80% sure of this.
If you read books such as Enoch, and history findings.
A lot of times when people see Angels whether it be good or evil.
Many people also see what we call UFO's.
I guess we will never really know, until Christ reveals it all to us.
There will come a day when Jesus will tell us everything we want to know.
He said that he would reveal secrets that we know not of.

Take Care.

I believe in aliens, because God made a very wide and diverse universe, it is so possible that God created more than just earth. And these aliens are probably very beautiful too because they are God's creation. Whether they really exist, whether they had their version of Jesus, whether they have souls... none of those are my business though because if God didn't tell me, then I assume it's not that applicable to my own life.

Anything extra-terrestrial is "Alien". So, yes, because God and his angels are extra-terrestrial. Its just the way society has painted it that makes that term seem a bit offensive. You know, with the space-ships and abduction. It's just their way of saying "Hey, don't you ever feel as if some one is watching our every move? Don't you feel that they are more intelligent than us?" I guess that is the atheist's explanation for feeling a presence and they don't wish to consider the possibility of God.

It's always been a bad thing (or frowned upon) to believe in such life out there.
I've always been told they are demons. I've had no experiences myself, I wonder if a Pastor somewhere out there has encountered some sort of weird event involving UFOs or aliens.
I do believe, in the power of Almighty God and our savior, Jesus Christ. And that's all that really matters. They are always with my in my life, when I ask for them especially. They love me and you and support us in everything.

There's no need for such knowledge of extraterrestrials. Lest we eat of the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. And we will know a greater evil potentially.

Anyhow,
God bless.

C.S. Lewis toyed with the idea that somewhere in the cosmos lies a God-created, sinless, intelligent alien race. In his Space Trilogy books, the main character makes it to the planet of this alien race, only to find that he has brought sin with him. Subsequently, the aliens' death.

There's nothing in the Bible which contradicts an existence of another intelligent species out there somewhere. The Bible is written specifically to humanity. However, I strongly doubt that we will have an encounter with aliens, if they do exist.
