CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There aren't now.. but there was when I young..
When I was almost 12, I was staying with my grandmother next door to my house because my grandfather was in the hospital.
In the morning, my mom heard a knock on the door at about 6 AM.. She thought I was coming home early to get ready for school. When she opened the door, there was no one there.
It was a snowy, very cold morning.. My dad didn't feel well, but went to work anyway because the coal mines were only working a couple of days a week.
That day - early afternoon, I believe - the mine exploded.. methane.. and my dad & 36 other men were killed.
Later when my mom talked to the other widows, many of them also had knockings at their doors that morning..
My grandmother woke up during the night & said that she saw a blue light in my dad's car.
The lady that lived behind our house said that she woke up to a blue light coming down her hallway.. she thought oh it is coming for me.. but then it disappeared..
I don't know what the knockings and lights were.. but it sure was strange..

yeah, this is an old house and the floorboards creak and the doors and windows can really rattle in the wind.

i have heard things. creepy things. like when our dog passed away i swear i heard his familiar whimper and collar. also,my bedroom is in the basement and i've often felt air pass over me. our house was built about 2 miles from a really old cemetary and it's been said our home stands on the acreage of an old boys home.
